On this page you will find tips on repairing your mountain bike: |
Brakes-The worse your brakes are, the more crashes you'll have: |
V-Brakes are desent, and common on mountain bikes. To fix these brakes first pull lever for the brake almost as far as it will go. Tape it down. Un-bolt the brake pads and press them upon the rim tightly. Tighten them losely then tape the back of the pad. Tighten all the way. Ride a short distance to make sure they work. |
Installing End Bars- End bars will help you handle your bike on the more intense trails. They'll also help you "power pedal" (pedaling as fast as you can go). |
First thing you need to do is get end bars that'll fit your handle bars. Measure the end of the handle bar and cut the rubber part the exact distance of the end bars (so that when you put them on no handle bar is exposed). Do the same to the other side. Place bars on [from 5 degrees to 40 degrees (depending on prefrence) above the horizon]. Tighten so they wont move at all. Test ride. |
