Del Cerro Park/Crenshaw-Palos Verdes
Distance:5.3 miles
Rating: ***-Advanced

This trail starts at the end of Crenshaw, just past Crest Rd.  Park in Del Cerro Park or on the streets, it's all free

Go southeast on Crenshaw, around a gate, and, boom, your on nice, flat dirt.  Don't let this foul you: it soon will go nicely down hill.  Continuedown the Main trail until it ends, then trek back up.  This is the hard part.  Every mile or so stop in the shade and rest.  If you like this trail, ride the other ones that come off of it.
Dirt Mulholland-Topanga Canyon
Distance: 9.1 miles
Rating: *****-Novice to Intermidiate

Starts off of Mulholland where it turns into Enchino Hills Dr. just east of Topanga Canyon.  You can park just up the trail, before it starts to ascend.

The trail is an amazing fire road with great views of Encino Reservoir and Topanga Canyon.  The trail climbs the steepest untill it gets to San Vincent Mtn. where you should take a break to see the retired Nike missle site.  The trail ends at the corner of Mulholland and Canoga.
Fullerton Loop-Fullerton
Distance: 14 miles
Rating: ****-Novice

This trail starts from the parking lot of the Fullerton Court House.  From the western end of the parking lot you start your journy.

The trail goes north up an esquarian and hiker path.  You have to cross roads, so be careful.  Stay on the main trail until a sign tells you to turn left to the lake.  Continue past the lake and slowly make a loop back to the parking lot and your car.
Lower Aliso Valley-Chino Hills State Park
Distance: 8 miles
Rating: ***- Novice

This trail, and state park, is hard to find but is well worth the trouble.  Located off of I-71, follow Butterfield Ranch Road to Soquel Canyon Road to Elinoar.  A small dirt road is up ahead.  Follow it up until it becomes paved.  The first campsite to your left marks the trail head.

Continue down past the porta-potties down the main trail.  At the first intersection turn left.  You will encounter shade, bridges, and, of course, loco weed.  The going is easy, but you can take much more difficult options.  Once you hit a locked gate, you can turn around. The way up is a little harder.
Malibu Creek/M*A*S*H site-Malibu Creek State Park
Distance: 7.6 miles
Rating:***-Novice

Starts in Malibu Creek State Park off of Las Virgines Rd.  A day pass costs $2, but it's worth it.

The trail is completely flat except for a short steep section before the M*A*S*H site.  he view is the best part of this ride.  This out and back trail is a great family ride.  If your new to mountain biking, I highly recommend this.

Eagle Junction/Eagle rock/E. Topanga Fire Road-Topanga Canyon
Distance: 11 miles
Rating: ****-Intermidiate

This trail starts off Reseeda just like Temescal and Will Roger (
Trails 2).

From the Hub you can either go up on the trail to the right, or down on the trail on your right.  Going the "up" direction will get you to the rock formations called Eagle Rock.  From the Eagle Junction (where both trails meet) you will be greated with a great view.  Go left down the main fire road  on a roller coaster jurny.  After a long time you will meet up with the Parker Mesa Pverlook.  I highly and I do mean HIGHLY recommend you venture over there for a look see.  Down the orginal trail you will eventually hit some steep down hill.  After a mile or so it stops at Paeso Miramar, a crowded street full of red marked crubs and parked cars.
