Temescal Ridge and Trailer Canyon-Topanga Canyon Distance: 7.3 miles Rating:****-Intermidiate Starts off the end of the Reeseda closest to Topanga Canyon. Park anywhere you can find room. Start biking up the very steep and rutted Tarzana Fire Road. If you can't make it, don't be ashamed to hike-a-bike up to Mulholland. Once up to Mulholland take right and transverse the easy Mulholland section until you get to an intersection. Turn left here. Continue up until the Hub Junction, or the Hub. Take a brake and continue going straight. Another intersection ahead, a sign will inform you to turn right to go to Michael Lane. The trail ends at the middle of Michael Lane of Palisades Dr. |

Palos Verdes Bluffs-Palos Verdes Distance: 3 miles Rating: ***-Novice This great trail is in danger of being completely closed. Most of the trails has already fallen victom to "progress" and construction/destruction :-( . It starts at the western end of Paseo del Mar, which can be traveled by first going down Palos Verdes Dr., then down Anchovy Ave, turn right to the end of Paseo del Mar. The trail starts at the left, up against the wall. Ride carefully down the bluffs or you'll find yourself on the rocky shore, drowning in a mouthful of salty water. The first intersection you'll want to turn right and up. Continue the single track until it prematurly ends at a paved road and a gate. Turn around here or hop the fence and play a round of golf. |

Westridge Fire Road-Topanga State Park Distance: 5.6 miles Rating: **-Novice This ride starts off of the dirt Mulholland at the Nike Missle Site. Once you stop climbing, you will notice a paved road to your left. Take the paved road up, right, past the bathrooms, to a gate. The gate says speed limit is 15 mph. You can go easily over this without noticing. After a little while, you meet an intersection. Go right. Stay on the main path until it ends at Westridge road. Parking is hard to find at times. |

North Kenter Fire Road-Southeast of Topanga State Park Distance: 3 miles Rating:**-Novice to Intermidate This trail branches off of Molholland from the left side of the parking lot. At first you will encounter a short steep climb. This is about the most climbing you will do on this trail. After a short distance the trail ends at a gate and a paved road. Go down the road and stay on the right shoulder untill it ends at a gate. Go past the gate and up the paved road. Continue on the paved road and soon it becomes dirt. Continue the dirt road to N. Kenter, a steep and windy road. The Whoop-de-doos are behind a visable concrete wall. |

TOTM-June Sullivan Canyon-Topanga State Park Distance:7.5 miles Rating:*****-Intemidiate This ride starts off dirt Mulholland, a ways past the Nike site. You will see a bright yellow gate that reads: Sullivan Canyon on it. This trail immediatly turns down. Cost down the fire road until a majotr intersection falls upon you to the left. This road is thinner and more rutted. Continue down this trail and you will be rewarded with trail crossings and wonder senery and double track. This trail is worth every second. It ends at a steep paved road on you left which goes up to Bayliss Rd. I very much recommend going up this trail, too, to get the magnatude of the scenery. |

Sullivan Ridge-Topanga Canyon Distance:8 miles Rating:***-Novice to Intermidiate This trail starts off of Mulhulland where you find a yellow gate that reads:Sullivan Fire Road. This trail starts off and maintains a fairly easy ride. Mostly downhill with a couple of uphills to keep you entertained.
