Thin films of H2Pc, NiPc and EuPc have been prepared by thermal evaporation. The dependence of their electrical, optical and structural properties on various deposition parameters has been studied. Conductivity studies have been done to determine different conduction parameters such as thermal activation energy, carrier concentration, trap concentration etc. Optical studies have been done to determine the optical band gap, refractive index, extinction coefficient and optical dielectric constant. An attempt to determine the crystal structure has been made using X-ray diffraction and the variation of the grain size of the film with post deposition treatments has been studied. |
