Hello all! I've just finished baking some cookies, so why don't you come join me for a cup of tea and some sweets! Have a seat and make yourself comfortable... oh, just move that plant out of the way. I'm Kino Makoto and I love company! As you can see, I live alone in this apartment and I'm a pretty neat housekeeper. I like to keep things tidy, and I love my plants. My favorite pastime is cooking, and someday I would like to own a cake and flower shop.

My favorite color is green, and I've always felt especially close to nature and the elements. As Sailor Jupiter, I use the power of thunder and lightening. My favorite gemstone is emerald. I'm blood type O and my birthday is December 5, so that makes me an upbeat Sagittarius. I always wear rose earrings, they're my favorites! My other hobby besides cooking is taking care of my plants and my home. I really love the domestic life and would like to marry someday and take care of a family.

I've lived alone ever since my parents died in a plane crash some time ago. I've always done fine on my own and I have no problems taking care of myself. I'm pretty mature for my age, and I'm taller than most girls. I'm also a very good fighter which really intimidates people sometimes. When I transferred to Class 6 at Minato-ku Juuban Jr. High School, there was a rumor going around that I had extraordinary strength and that I was expelled from my last school for fighting. It's true that I'm a good fighter, but I didn't get expelled from school. I transferred to Juuban on my own, for very different reasons. You see, there was this older boy at my old school who I fell for, but it didn't work out the way I had hoped. I was really hurt, and it was just too hard to stay there. I somehow felt drawn to Juuban, although at the time I wasn't sure why.

I had no friends when I transferred to Juuban. Everyone was afraid of me and wouldn't approach me, so I really felt isolated. Even the teachers gave me a hard time. My first day I got yelled at for wearing my old school's uniform, but since I transferred to Juuban a little late in the semester, they didn't have a uniform that would fit me. Then the teacher yelled at me for having a perm in my hair - but my hair's naturally curly! That was a tough first day, but so much in my life has changed since then.

Tsukino Usagi was my first friend at Juuban Jr. High School. As a matter of fact, she was the only person who wasn't afraid of me. It was really strange the way we met. The first time I saved her from being run over by a truck as she was walking across the street daydreaming. We went our separate ways, but I ended up seeing her at Juuban and there I saved her again from being hit by a baseball which was flying her way! It seemed like we were destined to be thrown in each other's paths. After I caught the baseball, I invited her to share my lunch with me (which she was drooling over at the time). I was surprised at first that she actually wanted to sit and talk with me, since no one else would approach me. After school that day, Usagi took me to Crown Game Center and introduced me to Ami-chan and the gorgeous guy that worked at the game center, Furuhata Motoki. He told us to call him Furu-chan. Wow, was he cute! He kinda reminded me of my old senpai...

After we left the game center, Usagi-chan and Ami-chan took me to Hikawa Shrine where I first met Rei-chan. It was on our way to the shrine that I heard the story of the ghost bride that supposedly haunted a local bridal shop in the Juuban shopping district. It was said that at night, the mannequin on the building came to life and put unsuspecting men under her spell, and anyone who bought their wedding dress there would have a doomed marriage. The girls discussed the story at the shrine, but it was over my head, so I decided to leave.

It was later that evening that I actually encountered the enemy, the Dark Kingdom veiled as the ghost bride, and became aware of my identity as a sailor soldier! If it hadn't been for my meeting up with Usagi in the first place, maybe I never would have awakened! Somehow, she must have been what drew me to change schools and go to Juuban Jr. High.

I always knew that there was something different about me, so when I found my hidden power I felt like I became whole for the first time in my life. I had always known deep inside that there was something important I was destined for. Now I know what it is. The soldier of protection, I am Sailor Jupiter!
