Weigh In: Friday January 21 in the Sequoia Elementary Multiuse Room Race Day: Saturday Jan 22, from 8:00 am till 1:00 pm in the Sequoia Elementary Multiuse Room This is the race that your Scout has looked forward to, the Pinewood Derby!  Which will be the speediest cars of the Pack this year? Preparation At the December Pack Meeting, Den Leaders will receive cars for the whole Den.  Remember, you need to use the materials from the kit, so don't start with any piece of wood you have laying around in the garage!  Rules are included with the Pinewood kits. Pinewood Websites      The Ultimate Pinewood Derby Site      Shape 'n' Race Derby      Pack 146 Weigh-In The Weigh-In is combined with an opportunity to try out your car and some early racing with your friends.  The track will be set up in the MUR and available from about 5:00 - 8:00 pm. Bring your tools, have your Den meeting there, or just come for the Weigh In.  There will be no materials provided so bring your own. When you are done tweaking your car, you will need to get it officially checked in.  We will weigh the car to make sure it is not too heavy and inspect it for the other rules.  After being officially weighed-in, the car will be impounded, and cannot be touched or changed anymore.  The car will stay at the MUR overnight; the race and the design competition are the next day. YOU MUST HAVE THE CAR OFFICIALLY CHECKED IN TO RACE! Race Day! Voting for the Design Awards is from 8:00 - 9:00 am.  All the boys get to vote for one car in each design category (except for the Judge's Choice Category).
