Written OOC to avoid any misunderstandings.
1 - MUNS will be at least 18 years of age to be within the Fleer SL. Period. 2 - Maturity is a must. At times life on Gor is harsh and it is even brutal. Be mature about the rp you engage in. If your character does something understand that there can and will be reactions from others. Good and bad. Deal with them. 3 - Be respectful of other muns. This includes respectful of the muns of slaves. IC they portray slaves. This does not mean that you own them even if your character does. On the flip side it is also good to remember that you have no hold of any other mun, period. Free or slave. We are all adults and will treat one another as such. 4 - There will be no OOC manipulation of the SLs accepted, period. If something happens to your character IC that you do not like, keep it IC. This does not mean you cannot IM if you have questions about something or do not understand it. It means, if your has acted in a certain way IC and then is reacted to based on that action, IC -- you will not change your mind half way through and go OOC about it to try and change it. Deal with IC, IC. 5 - Use of the mail string or message board to bash, flame or other wise insult other muns will have you kicked off the message board and banned from the use of the mail string. A second offense will have you kicked out of the SL. I refer you to rule number three. 6 - You only get out of your character what you put in to it. While we accept, understand and even encourage that real life comes first do not get bent out of shape if you are a little out of the loop when you return. RP continues. You will catch up. Also, while it is understood that most, if not all of us, have other characters -- spend enough time on this one to develope it. 7 - There will be no character crossing period. If you have more than one character in this story line do not think because one knows something the other does. Keep OOC information OOC until you have a legitimate means to bring it IC. 8 - There is more to RP than sitting at the fire talking, drinking and using slaves. There is much more to RP than flirting between free men and women as well. Men had hunts to do, raids to go on, scouting to do, and work to do among the tribe. Women had hides to tan, food to cook and preserve, food to gather (with the help of the tame cattle). These things should be portrayed in the RP. Slaves did much, much more than sit and look pretty waiting to serve the men. They too had chores and often harsh, exhausting ones. 9 - Do not take IC into OOC. Just because someone does not like your character does not mean it is a personal dislike of you the mun. If a free woman is vicious to a slave do not think that the mun of that woman hates the mun of the slave. Women were callous, and mean to slaves. It is just the portrayal of the natural contempt and disgust free women held the enslaved in. 10 - This is a book SL. We try to keep true to the world created by John Norman in the books of Gor. This means that there will be no cuddly kur, lap sleen, or other oddities. Feral slaves are also unwelcome and there were no Panthers or Taluna on the Barrens. 11 - Remember, we are here to have fun. If you have a SL idea that you think would be fun then suggest it. Please. 12 - These rules can, and will, be amended as the need arises. |
