Project Description

:

The HPQ system is one of the many Questionnaire systems on the Net. It was initially designed for BUPA's corporate clients to help them assess their staff's Health Profile. There were, however, plans to provide HPQ on the net in the near future.

The HPQ system development was undergone by CMG, UK's second leading Software Development House. CMG was involved in not only development but also post development support involving print(Xerox printer), dispatch, receive and processing of Qnaires and subsequently dispatch of Personal Health Profiles. The HPQ database was in CMG office.

The HPQ system functions as follows :

A company (BUPA's client), signs a contract with BUPA for a certain period of time. During this period, the HPQ system generates requested number of Questionnaires, which are either posted to the company or directly to its employees.

Completed Questionnaires returned back to CMG, are scanned, validated and loaded into the HPQ system. These are then processed using a heavy collection of statistics to calculate risk factors of the person. A Personal Health Profile (PHP) report is generated and posted back to the person along with a covering letter.

Incomplete and/or incorrectly filled Q'naires are rejected. These are sent a rejection letter and asked to complete and/or correct the Q'naire and return back to CMG. The process then repeats. The HPQ system was also, not able to process Pregnant and Over 64 cases. In these cases, apology letters were sent, and Pregnant ladies were asked to send a Q'naire after their pregnancy.

The system also provided for BUPA operators (nurses) to cater to on-line telephonic enquiries regarding the Q'naire or the PHP. CMG supervisors could actually modify Q'naires on-line, process them again, and print new PHP's.

The HPQ system provided for reprinting a Qnaire, PHP and any covering letter any number of times, using a Qnaire ID range or specifying last print date.

BUPA was able to view the HPQ system through a Read Only snapshot environment and hence could monitor contract activities.

The Remote access module of HPQ was to provide for filling the Q'naires from contract sites. CMG installed the HPQ Remote access system at client places, which would then access the HPQ d/b through a 2 MB link line. The client could thus have his employees fill the Q'naire on-line, get them processed and print a PHP for themselves.

The HPQ system also facilitated house keeping tasks for statistics, PHP paragraphs, client specific letter formats, Management reports and audit information.

Role

:

Involved in the system right from the beginning, through its design, development, documentation, implementation, support and post implementation development phases. Involved in developing screens, reports, graphs, packages, database triggers, snapshot environment and various database administration services.
