Project Description |
: |
This system was an in-house development by the IS Department of ACC for ACC. This system comprised of three main modules viz.: Personnel, Payroll and Administration. The system was interfaced with the Integrated Financial Accounting and Costing (IFAC) system for voucher payments and receipts related to the IPPS. The Personnel module consisted of maintaining details of employee viz.: empno, name, unit, dept, category, grade, designation, status, basic pay, D.O.B., D.O.J., qualifications, previous experience, membership in professional bodies, training through ACC, increments, promotions, transfers, appraisals and numerous other master tables. It was useful for the payroll module and for querying manpower position, age profile, service profile and personnel details as was required for MIS.The Payroll module maintained employee attendance details, leaves, salary, bonus, loans, claims, various deductions, salary history, earning masters, deductions masters, etc. Earnings outside payroll such as telephone reimbursement, conveyance, car/motor cycle allowance, leave encash, medical allowances, electricity/gas allowance, scholarships, etc were also maintained. The module was used for payroll processing, bonus processing, PF processing, OSF & gratuity processing, income tax processing and settlements. The Administration module was basically used when the IPPS system was implemented at different ACC units/works/factories/offices. The module could be used to create new users, grant/revoke system/object level privileges and roles, change passwords, assign new work areas (tablespaces), and drop existing users. The module also facilitated in taking backups of selective tables using and user friendly form. The module also provided valuable information such as the count of various stored objects in the IPPS tablespace, in-depth knowledge of all objects, facilities to print the text of procedures, functions, packages and triggers and also free available space in various tablespaces in the current database. |
