Angel's Requiem

ickory dicory doc
The hands fell off the clock
The happiness & warmth of childhood days
Has gone away
Leaving my soul to mourn for the past
To weep for the life which once inhabited my now lifeless body
To hear the Angel's Requiem carries upon the frigid wind
To hear the joyous melody that once promised flowers bloom
But mocks them as they too now die in their lonesome grave
The angels too are starting to weep
For they now the hopes & dreams of youth shatter
Into pieces of stained glass upon the sacred altar
Succumbing to the 'human' emotion of this all too sorrowful occasion
For the light of life has faded into darkness
Sunny days have now forever gone away
Leaving only Heaven's lamented clouds raining
Weeping the sad tears of My lost, sorrowed soul
For My sad soul longs for the forgotten past
Indeed, the Angels are crying tonight
For we can all feel their sorrow
And hear their requiem.
