physical description
Sophie resembles her older brother in more ways than one. Like him, her hair and eyes share the same chocolate brown shade. Her facial features are quite feminine with a soft, heart-shaped mouth, clear, ivory skin, and gentle bone structure. Sophie even shares her lanky figure with her sibling -- she stands at a petite 5'3" and weighs a meager 100 pounds, on a good day.

Her hair style has gone through several different transformations during her teen years. From long with bright red streaks, to a short pixie cut (directly after her father's funeral -- the result of an angry, depressed fit), and now to a still short, yet girlish style that frames her face.
personality

Sophie's personality can be quite overwhelming for people at times. Still in a pre-idealistic adolescent phase, the young Ms. Williams-Shaw tends to see everything in black and white, wrong or right. Her passion tips her over the edge which happens quite often due to her brave, courageous, and careless nature. That doesn't necessarily make Sophie a rude or inconsidrate person by any means. Quite the contrary, she has a knack for being in the right place at the right time to lend a helping hand and she tends to take others' burdens onto her own heart.

Likes: vegetarians, percussion, petitioning and volunteering for good causes, womens studies, reading, painting, being barefoot.
Dislikes: close-mindedness, unequality, segregation, arrogance, high heels, the majority of the world's current leaders.
history

Raised within a muggle family and community, the Williams-Shaws were quite oblivious to the wizarding world until Sophie's older brother, Tucker, began showing odd abilities a few months before his eleventh birthday. Several weeks later they received a letter that answered their questions and ultimately changed their lives. Not too long behind her older sibling, Sophie, too, began to exhibit certain rare talents, but thankfully, this time Mr. and Mrs. Williams-Shaw knew the situation and cared for it with love. Now unlike her brother who was sorted into the House of Hufflepuff, the sorting hat saw a quite different future for the young girl and placed her in the brave house of Gryffindor upon arrival at Hogwarts.

Sophie continued on throughout her schooling, returning to home during the summers and holidays - their family generally remaining quite close-knit despite the kids being absent for the majority of the year. The young Gryffindor took avid interest in the Defense Against the Dark Arts and lovingly consumed this foreign land of magic during her first year. At such a young age of eleven, even then Miss Williams-Shaw was able to distinguish between good and evil and sought to defeat the latter by entering into the Auror training upon graduation of Hogwarts.

Years passed and Sophie grew older, along with her brother. However, during the year of Tucker's graduation, trouble within the wizarding world was at an all-time high with the rise of the Dark Lord -- Lord Voldemort. An attack had been placed upon all muggleborns and Tucker and Sophie were shaken with fear. With such a ferocious paternal instinct, their father immediately decided to do all he could to protect his children, despite the fact that he was ultimately helpless against such powerful magic. When the Williams-Shaw children neglected to appear at the Ministry to defend their magic to a court, they were then placed on a list to be hunted down, along with many other muggleborns. They traveled from place to place, but it was when they were in the vulnerable position of moving from a prior destination to a new one, that they were caught. Their father, Patrick, willingly sacrificed himself before his children, allowing them enough time to escape. Quickly afterwards, the actual war at Hogwarts broke out and the two children returned with renewed bitterness and anger. They used such hostility towards the fighting Death Eaters. Of course, their magic was no match for the powerful dark magic their foes performed, but it allowed much frustration and hatred to be slowly released. Thankfully, they survived with nothing but many bruises, scrapes, and a few scars.

Sophie now continues on at Hogwarts in her sixth year, her vengeance to defeat evil and injustice of any kinds more passionate than ever before.
