The Costswolds
In April 2000, Mandy and I spent a couple of days in The Cotswolds, at a lovely Hotel called The Frogmill.which is in Andoversford, near Cheltenham,it’s a “Olde worldy” type place with old ceiling beams and a real fire in the bar. The food is excellent and its well situated as a base to exploreThe Cotswolds.

We spent an enjoyable afternoon at Cheltenham racecourse, where Mandy managed to pick out a 12/1
winner "Holburn Hill"
We visited Sudeley Castle, which is just North of Cheltenham, the grounds and gardens are well worth a visit.

Well known for its Royal connections, Sudeley, was once the home of Queen Katherine Parr, the last surviving wife of King Henry VIII. She lived at Sudeley with Thomas Seymour whom she scandalously married shortly after the King's death and raised her adopted protege Lady Jane Grey, herself a future, albeit short-lived, Queen of England.
