Custom Sound For Your Game

So You Want Louder Sounds Without Volume Increase

As you should have read the other page im not going to explain where the files are and how to get at them. Almost every sound you hear in CSS can be changed because it is held on you computer with controls for it in one of the scripts. As described on the first page sounds are controlled by the values next to them.Change these values and change what you hear.Attenuation is limiting the volume while volume is obviously the initial volume. Pitch is one to be left alone, it can be funny tho having squeaky voices but otherwise useless. I will now list out files with whats in them so you can do it yourself.

game_sounds.txt = All the volume aliases and criteria (print this one out so you can use it to modify other files)
Use this one to get the volume you want in game. Remember if you dont keep same realism to the volume any change you make may not benefit you fiddling so try to keep changes in same context. (eg Footsteps dont just increase volume because you'll hear loads of them increase attenuation to so they are dampened slightly too Vol=1 & Att=1 change to Vol=0.5 & Att=0.5)

game_sounds_physics.txt = All sounds refering to interactions (eg footsteps, ricochets, glass break)

game_sounds_ambient_generic.txt = unchanging ambient sounds (eg explosion, sparks)

game_sounds_bots.txt = All the bot sounds (so you can finally thurn the bastards down)

game_sounds_hostages.txt = All Hostage Sounds

game_sounds_manifest.txt = FOR FUCKS SAKE DONT TOUCH THIS ONE (loads all sound files, play with it & you will fuck CSS)

game_sounds_radio.txt = All radio chatter except bots

game_sounds_weapons.txt = All weapon sounds

game_sounds_world.txt = Left out sounds really, ones that dont fall into ambient, physics or weapons (eg door movement by wind)
