Questions from
the Jury
of SOTN II
CHRISSY'S QUESTION:
1. If you had to go back and change ANYTHING that you did during the course of this game, what would it be and why?

2. Why did you choose to stay a unified tribe after the merge and not blend in with the other tribe

JOEL'S ANSWER:
1. I don't know if I would change much, I think perhaps I would change the way I did the timed Immunity Challenges.  It really wasn't very fair that I was online in the mornings when the challenges were sent out and no one other than Mary and I had a chance to win many of them.  Perhaps I could have used a little fair play when it came to the timed challenges.

2. I tried several times with many different people to get cross alliances set up.  Mitch and I talked a couple times but he never wanted to vote with us.  I also contacted almost everyone on Paguchi.  I mean I think my tribe was great but when it looked like we were going to get picked off 1 by 1 I was willing to try a few things to stay in the game longer.
MARY JO'S ANSWER: Well, I don't really think i would change anything.  I played a fair game.  I had fun.  And that is really what it's all about.   2. Why did you choose to stay a unified tribe after the merge and not blend in with the other tribe?  I made an alliance w/ two people at the beginnning of the game and i choose to stick to it.  I wanted to stay true to my friends that i had made in my original tribe and did just that.  I wasn't gonna go to the other tribe and then ultimatly be voted off towards the end.  I feel that everyone in my tribe felt that way and that is why we stuck together.
MITCH'S QUESTION (Peter is substituting because of no response from Mitch)

PETER’S QUESTION:
If you could have been in an alliance with any three people from either tribe.Who would they be?

JOEL'S ANSWER: Well I think I would have chosen Royann, Fernando and Chrissy.  They seemed to be the most organized out of the remaining members of the other tribe and I think we could have worked well together.
MARY JO'S ANSWER: I would keep my alliance w/ phil and  joel and would  probally had liked to be in w/ Terry, just cuz he's a nice guy from what i gather.  He is about the only one from the other tribe that ever really talked to me so i think if it had been different i would of liked to be in alliance with him too.
TERRY'S QUESTION:

What was the toughest decision you had to make during the game and do you regret making that choice now?
JOEL'S ANSWER: I didn't really have all that many tough decisions to make in the game.  It was pretty cut and dry.  I especially think that my vote against Jon instead of Royann when there were 5 of us left was a good one.  I don't regret it, even though it may have some negative consequences :)
MARY JO'S ANSWER: The toughest decision i made in this game was having to decide who to take w/ me to the final two.  In all honesty I almost DIDN"T do the last challenge.  AND I even considered asking zeb if i could drop out and let joel and phil do the final two.  but i wanted to play so here i am.  I don't necessarily regret my decision, i just wish it could of been easier :)
JOEL'S ANSWER: Great question, I was hoping someone would ask me this...lol.  Umm how about Chrissy, I know Royann and Mary Jo are married, and Chrissy I am not sure about.  Also the name Chrissy reminds me of Chrissy off Three's Company, and that is not such a bad thing.....DISCLAIMER:  If ever anything even resembling this happened my wife would string me up by my toes and beat me with a phonebook.  After that numerous awful things would happen to me.
MARY JO'S ANSWER: I haven't heard any of those rumors and quite honestly don't know why they would even be there.  We played a fair game.  You all had just as much advantage as anyone else(with voting and all)  The only time that something went in my favor was with the email that didn't get sent in durin the immunity challenge.  BUT, i did send it in.  And there was lots of other emails lost that were you alls too.  So anyways.......i don't think the game was rigged or anything and i certainly don't think I of all people had an advantage over anyone else.  I've never played one of these games before and you all (well most of ya) have played many of them therefore having a HUGE advantage over me.  I just came to play the game.  I got to know the people in my tribe and had fun and that's it.
ROYANN'S QUESTION:

In making it to the final two, what percentage do you attribute to luck and what percentage to skill & strategy?
JOEL'S ANSWER: 100% luck in this game, -10% skill, I don't think I have to elaborate on my feelings about how the game went, there was only one challenge that was absolutley imperative that I win, and I won it only because Mitch was not around to even compete in it. So again that could be luck.
MARY JO'S ANSWER: Royann   I think that if Chrissy's answers for the challenge where she got voted out(the links one) had been counted she would have won and therefore totally turned this game around.   I really think that we played this game well w/ skill and all......so i do honestly think it was about a 50/50 chance.  If she had won, we would be in the jury.  SO we got lucky there.  But we did work our buts off to do the immunity challenges  :)

MARY JO
Thank you Zeb and Tammy for running the game.  I know that being a host can be difficult at times.  Whatever happens here is fine by me.  I am glad to be here with Mary Jo in the Final Two, if she wins thats great,  She actually won more challenges and was my partner in crime the whole game.  To you Paguchians, sorry you got messed with once the merge came, you don't to say how you feel, I know.  To Phil, I am glad that we were able to pull this off, a lot of luck, and if you had won Immunity it would have been you and Mary Jo sitting here instead, and that would have been fine too.   To Fernando, thanks for the question you asked, it made me think......

JON'S QUESTION

So what was your biggest reason for the three of you to gang up and vote against me?
JOEL'S ANSWER: Ok a couple things here.  The three of us had really been working together from the start of the game and had kept in contact.  You were the natural person to vote out in that round.  Secondly, I would have voted you out the rond before that if I had my way, sorry but all the emails you sent out in your verbal war with Mitch were starting to grate on me.  For the most part I tried to keep out of it and didn't see the point in tyring to argue with people.  But that's just me, what do I know.
MARY JO'S ANSWER: Jon,  We did NOT gang up on you.  Phil, Joel and I were in an alliance from just about day one.  I couldn't vote against joel.  I'm sorry that it didn't work out for you. but, i didn't really know you either.  I mean, phil, joel and i talked EVERYDAY online and have really become good friends :)  So it wasn't that we ganged up...it's just that we had the alliance and that's all

PHIL'S QUESTION

With all the drama that went down during this game, do you consider it to be a victory if you are the one Survivor in the end?
JOEL'S ANSWER: I I will be honest here.  This game has started to run better since Zeb has taken over.  However when for the most part it was being run by Tammy, I had the urge several times to vote myself out.  There isn't really a victory here.  I wish my first time making it to the Final Two would have been in a different game under different circumstances.  For the most part the other tribe outplayed us and we got lucky to get this far.  Don't get me wrong, I think that Phil and Mary Jo are two of the best people to have allied with you in a game, I just wish we could have done it under different circumstances.
MARY JO'S ANSWER: BOY O BOY it was a dramatic game wasn't it.  I would consider my win a "victory"  but not really over anyone in our tribe.  I think it's amazing that we were able to get where we are and i'm just glad of that.  I have no problems loosing to Joel(if that's the case) cuz he's a great guy.  I think our tribe has celebrated a victory together and i'm glad that we did make it this far :)
