Grades: 1 & 2

~Introduction to Physical Education/Gym Rules ~Discipline, Space Awareness
~Complex movement skills, locomotor movement, heavy and light movements
AIM:
~Develop fundamental and complex movement skills
~Follow rules while participating in physical activity
~Demonstrate the characteristics of sharing and cooperation in a physical activity
~Line to line locomotor movement/personal space ~Demonstrate clear contrasts between heavy and light movments

"Getting to Know You", "Cone Tag", "Locomotor License", "Fishes and Whales", "Animal Fun"
SKILLS PRACTICED:
Catching, Throwing, Skipping, Hopping, Galloping, Contrast between slow and fast movement, Traveling in front of and behind using locomotor skills, Walking slow, Walking fast, Crawling, Stepping, Heavy and light movements
