| CLOTHES/FOOTWEAR Students should follow the school dress code policies in preparation for P.E. class. BEHAVIORAL EXPECTATIONS: Because the gym is a more unstructured atmosphere than the classroom, it is of GREAT importance that students adhere to the rules of safety and good behavior. Fighting, put downs, or poor sportsmanship are absolutely not tolerated! We want each student's time in Physical Education class to be both a learning and fun experience! The following rules create an atmosphere in which students will RESPECT one another and one another's P.E. time. R aise hands, listen and follow directions. E quipment use on signal. Treat it with care, use it safely and appropriately. S tay on task. Don't distract/bother others. P ractice safety always. Hands and feet to yourselves. E ncourage others to do their best and support them with positive comments C onsider other's feelings through good sportsmanship. T reat others as you would like to be treated. No fighting or putdowns allowed. Gym Rules : Go to your home space when you arrive. No sliding on the floor. Follow Coach's directions. Play fair. Careful while moving. Watch for others. Treat others with respect. No teasing. No name calling. No gum or candy in your mouth. Hands or feet to yourself. Listen when Coach is talking (Listen with your body and your ears.) When you ear Coach's whistle - stop and listen! Only tattle if someone hurts you or says they will hurt you. Enter and Exit the gym in an orderly manner. |
