Noah's to Abraham's to Moses to Christ's
|-- 367 years --|-- 430 years --|-- 1677+ years --|

Before the establishment of the “Law” Covenant with Israel mediated by Moses, God made an eternal Covenant with humanity mediated by Noah. This Covenant had the portion of commands, decrees, and laws in God's Earthly Kingdom that can never be made null and void (Gen.8:20-9:17).

Three hundred and sixty seven years after making this Covenant with Noah (see
Gen.11:10-32;Gen.12:4 for year total)God finally finds the right man (Abraham) to make of him a great nation ( Gen.12:1-3) through Isaac (Gen.26:1-5) and Jacob ( Gen.35:9-12) and bring the Promised Christ out from this nation. ( Gen.12:1-3;15:13-21; 17:1-21 Rom.3:1-2; 4:1-25; 9:4-5; Gal.3:8; Heb.11:8-19). The land to this nation (Israel) was to be a permanent possession as a base to evangelize the world ( Gen.12:1-3;12:7;13:14-18; 15:18-21;17:7-19~Note:From the time of Abraham, it took four hundred and thirty years before Israel was ready to enter the Promised Land.( Ex.12:40)

Abraham to Moses:430 Years

God made choice of Abram ( later called Abraham) for his obedient faith. He led the seventy five year old from Ur to Canaan. Once there, God assured Abram through a vision that his descendants will be as numerous as the stars( Gen.15:1-5 ) .

Abram "believed in the Lord, so God credited to him as righteous"( Gen.15:6 cp. Heb.11:6 ).

Note: Abraham's faith made God choose him to bring the Promised Christ through his offspring and to be a spiritual father(or religious leader)to the non-Jews since he was not under the Jewish "Law" Covenant which came after his Rom.4 ). Note: Art used by permission by Pat Marvenko Smith,Copyright2000.Click here to visit her "Revelation Illustrated" site.

The Lord also assured Abraham of inheriting the land during this vision. This prompted Abraham to inquire of the time of actually taking possession of it ( Gen.15:7-8 ). The Lord told Abraham to offer sacrifices(which pictured the "the good things to come" Heb.8-10 ) and prophesied to him that his descendants would be "strangers in a country not their own and they would be enslaved and mistreated 400 years"(" Gen.15:9-13 Note: In Exodus 12:40, a total of 430 years is given concerning them being in Egypt(and Canaan according to original text) therefore, we know by the original text and the 400 year prophecy that Abraham was in the promised land(Canaan)living in tents( Heb.11:9 ) thirty years prior to his descendants becoming strangers and enslaved in Egypt).

After the 400 years were up, God was to "punish the nation they serve as slaves" and "they will come out with great possessions"( Gen.15:14 fulfilled in Ex.12 ).The Israelites were to return to Canaan to punish the Amorite nation living in the Promised land for its sins( Gen.15:16 Note:It is stated here that God does not pass judgement until sin reaches its full measure. Furthermore, God never shows favourtism when sin is committed and never forces anyone to obey. He rather "gives them over"(or allows)His people to commit sin if they choose( Rom.1:21-32; Rom.2:10-11;Ezek.33:12-20 . The unfailing law in God's Earthly Kingdom is to reap what one sows( Gal.6:7-10 ). In the case of the Patriarchs, the reaping(or judgement) for what they sowed(or for disobeying)was (as stated) enslavement in Egypt and Egypt reaped the 10 plagues for what it sowed).
