HAPPY EASTER!!!

What a shoot! Stopped by Butch and Perlita's house (first time). A 1 hour drive and well worth it. Butch's daughter's car broke down in San Clemente. Butch went to pick her up... the 1 o'clock shoot started at 5:30 P.M. . Plenty of food and karaoke to keep us busy in the meantime. There was a 3 on 3 basketball tourney. Bogey was the first out, favoring the Baikal's. Our 7X7's are starting to leak air (Our 7X7's have already been through about 10,000 pellets each!, very durable!). Will E-Mail Daisy tomorrow. Probably time to adjust or replace seals. Butch's sister Edna shot 5 straight knockdowns with Ric's Baikal on the rabbit field target at 10 meters! Edna's daughter Carla knocked down the rabbit also. Eric and Emboy had a shootoff at the rabbit - several knockdowns.  Easter Bunny's bad day! Phoebe and Alena were shooting bullseyes on paper. Stacy tried the 717, 1377 and Baikal. I think he's getting a 1377 when he gets back to Las Vegas!

Stopped by the Club House on Thursday. Ed had been shooting the Baikal (We think he ordered one and is keeping it a secret!). Lanny came over and it was about an hour of shooting spoons at the Gamo trap - all 3 lanes open! Talked to Butch on Friday. Lanny had stopped by for about an hour of shooting. Capped the office paper targets (Beeman trap) and spoons (Gamo trap) for about 1/2 hour. Called Butch today. Butch's brother in law Rom and cousin Jun shot the Crosman 1377, the Daisy 717, and Baikal IZH-46M pistols. Yup', they're addicted. Used to shoot IHMSA with Butch and have not shot in a long time! They'll be back next Sunday! Butch had a long phone conversation with Mike T today. Mike had alot of guests over. Mike will probably go shooting at Butch's next Sunday. Butch is going to show Mike where to hunt in the San Diego area. Plan to stp by the clubhouse Wednesday and Thursday.

Daisy? Baikal? Daisy? Baikal? Love both of them. Butch and I capped away with our 717's this evening. It's simple, practice more with the 717 and you will shoot better with the Baikal! The Daisy 7X7 series are still my most recommended pistols. You will not be unhappy with one! Great trigger and as accurate as the Baikal at 10 meters. Henry (Filipino former Marine, Escondido Police Department, School liason officer) shot Butch's Baikal - Again and again! LOL Hooked another one! That trigger destroys you (thanks Gary!) Butch talked with Mike T (
tagapalanig@yahoo.com ) . If everything goes well, they will be shooting at Butch's on Sunday. I'll stop by the clubhouse tomorrow. Lanny thinks he still knows how to shoot! Hey Lanny, If at first you don't succeed, try try again! Deleted Asintado's website link. Grotesque. He's getting into child porn. SICK!

Cleaned and bore-punched all of my air pistols. My Daisy 717 just clocked 10,000 rounds! No problems! Clean, lube, adjust! Phenominal! As accurate as the day I bought it! The Industry Brand QS35 has clocked over 2,000 rounds. No problems!  The Baikal IZH 46M has clocked more than 4,000 rounds - 2 seals flew out, were retrieved and no problems since! A message for all hunters - If you hunt to kill - eat what you shoot! Do not deplete the environment! PETA may not agree, but this club is dedicated to target shooting. Once again, if you hunt - eat what you shoot. I'll continue to "kill" paper! LOL

Talked to an Olympic shooting trainer, retired Marine Major Jerry Lasher, today about youth shooting programs that have gone the wayside. I expressed interest in re-kindling this sport and education. Don Whigan (Master Chief) capped a couple of rounds at the club a few days ago. Buth was talking about competition at his place on Sunday. Have been working range to setup for Olympic shooting

Maury in my service department fired my Baikal 3 times! Maury was close to ordering the Daisy 717, NOT! I ruined him again! I still recommend the 717 to enter the sport, but for 3 times the cost of the 717 the Baikal is twice the shooter! As accurate as the Daisy, but 100 - 144 F.P.S. faster with a "touch" trigger. I heard Joanne stopped by and shot again! Butch shot firearms with friends today. He enjoyed this again, but let them fire his Crosman 1377 and Baikal IZH 46M. They are all "instant" airgun members! Shot the office trap and have consistantly cracked the Gamo spoon trap. Lanny fired my Baikal with amazing accuracy! Butch is practicing with red dots!

Gary has completed the modification of his $20 Sniper Industry Brand B3 Spring Piston Rifle. We like the pics! Great job, Gary! Ponce stopped by the clubhouse today. Ponce shot the Daisy 717, Crosman 1377, and the Bakal IZH 46M! He definately knows how to shoot! My daughter's boyfriend Josh shot my office trap with the Baikal last night for about 1 hour. Taught him a few lessons. Josh is eliminating the black! Butch received his mounts for his Crosman and Baikal. Butch needs to visit the hardware store to get longer screws to accomodate the width of the scope mount of the Baikal! Butch was punching out the black with his Crosman 1377 and LED red dot sight!

My 18 YO daughter Mary's boyfriend Josh shot at my office Gamo trap. Instantly hooked! Annabelle, Mary and myself bought Josh a Daisy 717 for his birthday. I will call Michael tomorrow for an update! My Baikal is still on track for Monday. Gary is still turning an Industry Brand B3 into a Sniper Rifle! Keep us up to date, Gary.

March 11, 2004,
Stopped by the clubhouse last night. Butch and Lanny were having a dual with the 7XX models on a 3/4" bull - I destroyed their train of thought enter the Gamo spoon sillouette target trap. Instant sillouette competition. Two small spoons, two larger spoons, and a square paddle in the middle that resets all spoons! Butch bought another Gamo trap this morning. We now have 3. One in my office, one at Butch and Perlitas and one at the club. One trap is a natural for two shooter competition. Two small, two medium and a reset paddle all triggered by a well aimed pellet! My Airgun Express catalog came today. My Baikal is on track for next Monday. Gary, does this ever stop?!

Met a young father in Sports Authority that was looking to teach his son gun safety, respect, and marksmanship. Sir, you reminded me of my late father and the bond and lessons he taught me. I am alive today and a better man (a Marine from '68 to '92) because my father taught me the basics of responsibility and marksmanship! Your son will also remember your teachings and bonding for life!
Butch and Lanny were capping away around 1600. I came in and a few customers shot. A young teenager, Joanne, shot and hit the target in the middle of the forehead! Great job, Joanne!
Looking to join some sillouette and field target! Bought a Gamo self resetting sillouette trap. My EAA IZH-46 Baikal is due next Monday. We are in contact with IHMSA (International Handgun Metalic Sillouette Assotiation) inquiring about the air pistol class.

Gary Anthony is probably snickering right now and barking "I told you so!". Ordered one for me last night. UPS truck was running late. Michael, Lanny and myself were waiting - it came - Butch (Michael) went to get a knife - too slow - I opened the box for him. The barrell of this beauty said "Read manual before shooting". While I was reading, Butch was doing a quick punch and lube. Just when I was going to show Butch how to operate his weapon (EAA IZH 46 Baikal), He had already cocked, loaded, aimed and... CRACK!!! I've never seen Butch smile like this before! Butch handed me the weapon with a petrified smile that has not stopped. Pump, load, aim, breath, hold...CRACK!!! I need new BVD's - I do not remember squeezing the trigger!!! I think I'm going to remake an old AC/DC tune to "Crack in Black"! that's all this pistol does - "Crack in Black"! We blame our addictions on Gary Anthony - It's your fault and you know it! "Doc" Paul and Yvette stopped by and experienced the same. Doc is heading out to the Philippines for 6 months. Stay in touch, Doc!

Michael told me Honorio spent 2 1/2 hours yesterday shooting through the SAME HOLE! I think Honorio is again ready for match shooting! Gunner Brayman and myself spent about a GOOD hour yesterday talking about shooting and the Corps! Everytime I talk to the Gunner I grow wood! The Old Corps still survives! Gunner, you reflect the Old Corps, Keep it up!!!
It was an outstanding day for the club! The Hamto brothers stopped by and capped off 2 rounds a piece... 4 bullseyes!
Gary also shot a bull with one one shot!
Lucy shot 8 bulls on the center trap! Good thing we weren't betting tonight!
Ed Carillo, Doc "Paul", Gary and Lanny were tearing up the black. Michael was upset because he ordered an IZH Baikal from Air Gun Express that was supposed to arrive today, but is now scheduled for Monday. No wonder he asked me to show up today with some new targets! We'll outshoot you anyway, Butch!

Overnighted the club video to Gary Anthony. Only 5 bucks difference between 1 day and 3-4 day delivery. Gary will start to understand the uniqueness of our club. Very little organization, just friends using shooting as a common bond to socialize. Lanny and Michael "Butch" were capping away early today. Butch told me Lanny posted another rule that we will all ignore!

Two new members - Bill & Yvette (let me know if I misspelled that name) stopped by and fired an array of pistols. Welcome Aboard! Doc (Paul), Ed Carillo, Lanny, Butch and many others came by to shoot. We spent most of the day working on a video for Gary Anthony and some other friends abroad. 'Gotta go develop some pics at Wal-Mart. Later
