The Churchyard

Responsibility for the maintenance of the churchyard has been given to the Cranfield Parish Council.

The PCC will liase with the Parish Council to ensure compliance with all Health & Safety matters pertaining to the churchyard.

1. Grass will be kept short to ensure that gravestones are visible to those visiting the churchyard.

2. Gravestones will be checked twice each year to snsure that they are stable. Any unstable gravestones will be laid flat closest known relatives will be notified.

3. Paths and steps will be kepts free of moss and algae to prevent slipping.

4. Trees will be inspected (with the Parish Council) every six months. Every five years a tree surgeon will be invited to carry out a detailed inspection.

5. Boundary walls, gates and fences will be inspected every six months.

6. Leaves will be cleared from paths as soon as possible after falling.
