Tracy Leigh... Ecclesiastes 4:9-10 I don't even know where to begin. Tracy and I met when I was somewhere around the age of 4, I guess? She moved in across the street and my life was changed forever. We hit it off right away and played together on a pretty constant basis. Sure we had our silly kid fights...but just like Tracy said the other day (2-23-03) to me in the car, we're different but also alike enough that we don't really have any problems getting along. I clearly remember the "My daddy's gonna spank you" fight. I think that lasted a matter of a few hours and we were ok again. Other than that, I really can't remember any other arguments that kept us from talking for more than maybe, a few hours. We've had a bunch of great times...Fairytale Forest, the greeting card company, chicken on a spit (don't ask, just take my word for it...and please remember, we were young), the photo shoots, and so many more. |

One of my favorite things (and probably contributed most to my weight today) was our popcorn afternoons. We'd head over to her house after school (most likely on an afternoon that I forgot my house key) and we'd make popcorn. We're not talking normal, pop a bag in the microwave popcorn here. We'd put the kernels and oil in a pot and pop fresh popcorn on the stove. We'd melt a stick of butter and add a whole bunch of salt. Of course we didn't do this every afternoon, but for a few weeks it was probably close to once a week. Now that we're grown up, we mostly pig out on our Panera trips or our trips to the diner for brunch (haha). | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

There were of course the three years of the "Chris episode." But Tracy makes a good point about certain relationships in saying, "It was meant to be. It wasn't meant to last." But God's got some great relationships for the future for both of us. Tracy doesn't live across the street anymore. *SAD FACE* But she's still pretty close. (Not like I'm that close here at Rutgers.) But yeah, her mom decided to move to Florida. I believe Tracy usually refers to it as her mother's midlife crisis. |

Tracy Leigh, I love you so so so much...and we will be forever friends, that's guaranteed. So much has happened that you've always been there for and I wouldn't change a thing about it. The one thing I love most about you is your unconditional love for me. No matter how annoying or stupid I may be, you still love me. I thank you for everything, the good and the bad. You are truly an angel! Your smile lights up a room, your laugh is contagious, and your hugs are healing and comforting. You know when to wipe away the tears and when to let them fall. You just know. Thank you for everything but most importantly, your friendship. I love you Tracy Leigh. Always have. Always will. Love, Veronica Lynne |
