Ramblin' Man Gallery
Remember the International Toy Fair in NYC? When it was a giant orgy of toys, vehicles and general mayhem and geek-dom? Oy... those were the days. Now between assorted toy and comic conventions it just ain’t the same. Oh well, it’s still a chance to see some pretty cool stuff and making a list on how to spend your tax refund. Bwahahahahahahha!
Mattel
Mattel is going all out with the DC license... well, sort of. Between the on going ‘DC Superheroes’ line, ‘Justice League Unlimited’, and ‘Superman Returns’ there is a lot stuff coming out over the next year.
DC Superheroes
The Good. Nice sculpts and FINALLY some articulation on the figures! .
The Bad. So where are the accessories? Batman with just a few little gadgets? No stand? What’s up here? .
The Ugly. I really hoped ‘DC Superheroes’ would become the ‘Marvel Legends’ for DC. Well, sorta. The first two series are obsessed with Superman and Batman. Unfortunately all we see are the usual suspects. Bane. Doomsday. Bizarro. Doh!
Justice League Unlimited
The Good. Wow, MORE FIGURES?!?!?! SWEET!
The Bad. Um... where’s Mongul?
The Ugly. Not a lot of vehicles. I can certainly understand Mattel avoiding turning this into ‘GI Joe’ with capes and cowls. However a few things would be cool. How about a Batmobile? OOOhhhhh... let’s go old school and the Supermobile! ... Ok, never mind, but ya know what I mean!
Superman Returns
The Good. Wow, a spooky likeness of Brandon Routh on Superman and even on Kevin Spacey. The Hyper-Posable Superman looks VERY nice.
The Bad. Luthor with a missile-launcher? Oh dear... bad Hasbro vibes...
The Ugly. How many different Superman and Luthor figures can you really do before the lame ‘Missile/laser cannon equipped, battle-armor wearing Lois Lane’ figure comes out?

Ok, time to whine... NO MORE ‘LORD OF THE RINGS FIGURES’!!!!! Oh well, there’s still Marvel Legends... wait, the license ends this year?!?!???? AAAAAGGGGHHH!!!!! Ok, time to enjoy the stuff while we can.
The Good. More stellar figures and MANY different ones. The all villains line. Long Shot gets a figure, and the Thor Buster Iron Man. Oh, and if you got the Marvel Select Thanos Capt. Marvel is out towards the end of the year!
The Bad. Oh god... Hasbro in 2007?!?!??!??!?!????
The Ugly. Ok, I still don’t like this thing with making a bigger figure. I LIKED the stands. They were cool and went with each figure.
