J.T.'s uncanny and normally beneficial ability to alter his playing style to counteract his opponents' led him into trouble in the 8th installation of the SSBM Mega Tournament. Normally, he could shift from opponent to opponent over the course of about 100 damage, and then enact a fitting revenge. But now, with the onset of so many new and skilled opponents, J.T. found himself dazed and confused (and dead) trying to keep up with the wash of new styles. The result was a series of despicable losses to the likes of Kevin, Corey, and even Caro. At least he could make up the losses against Corey.

A rather uneventful tournament for the Junior VBree Bro. He picked up a quick win against Kevin early on and had his usual back-and-forth wrestling match against the Senior VBree Bro, and also proved that he still has some work to do by getting clobbered by Bill.

With newfound humility (and a horrendous fear of the Elite Four), Gilbert sauntered Tournament Number 5 expecting little. However, he emerged with only minor scratches to his ranking, will Bill's drop putting Corey's big jump in perspective. All it will take now is a good showdown between the teammates to determine whether or not Bill's fall will break before reaching absolute mediocrity.

A sad, sad day for the former Elite Four player. After losing ranks due to his lack of attendance, his attempt at a comeback was met by stunning defeats at the hands of his former comrades and the newcomer Kevin. Although he is slated to spend some time training with his old ally, Gilbert, prior to the next matchup, his disgrace at his former brethren's hands will forever tarnish his track record.
