scifi/Hack1/now
/now is a a list of science fiction that you should read now. These stories and novels are that good. Some of these are just fun to read, while others are great examples of the topics I talk about in this website: characterization, description, good science, etc.
If you can't afford to buy these, then go to a freaking library and check one out. If your library doesn't carry these, tell them to hurry up and buy one.
- Lord of Light by Roger Zelazny. Wow. This is a weird novel, but it's one of scifi's best kept secrets. Find out what Hindu gods, Buddha, and prayer machines have to do with science fiction.
- Hyperion by Dan Simmons. Cantebury Tales set about a starship that's also a giant tree, but instead of going to Cantebury, everyone's going to meet a 9-foot-tall killing machine. This novel showcases Simmons' amazing writing abilities.
