Charlie Russell (chairman)
I just visited your web site following the receipt of an announcement of its availability in the Neighborhood News. You and the Members of the Golf Task Force are to be commended for the Transparent approach the TF is taking in addressing the issue of outsourcing the Management of Golf Course Operations. The opening up of the process to provide interaction and two-way communication with resident stakeholders through; the Web site; email exchange; open meetings with resident participation; information exchange with other Governance groups; timely minutes of meetings; and regular progress reports could well serve as a model for all official Deliberative Groups in Sun City TX. The opportunity provided residents to keep abreast of your deliberations and progress as well as the invitation to provide input will go a long way in gaining resident golfer's and other resident support for the Task Force's final recommendations to the Board and the Developer. Please convey my appreciation to the members of the Task Force for the approach they are taking and a special thanks you and the members for the work that lies ahead. Roby Sloan 116 Saddle Tr. Ps: I had an opportunity to visit with Charlie Culpepper, former Mayor of Round Rock, recently. The topic of how Forest Creek Golf Club came about and how that Course was managed financially became the focus of a very interesting conversation. Since that Club's Management Firm has a contract with the City of Round Rock it should be readily obtainable and could provide some insights other than from just Sun City operations. |
