Minutes Bid Selection Task Force June Summary
	The task force received formal proposals from five management companies on May 30th. The five companies were: Billy Casper, EAGL, Kemper Sports, OB Sports, and Troon Golf. Two companies, OnCourse Strategies, and Western Golf concluded that their business strategies did not coincide with ours, and they declined to bid. Most of the month of June has been spent reviewing and evaluating the proposals, contacting references (current and previous customers), developing a formal scoring system for the proposals, and visiting some of the courses operated by the management companies. (Some of us also had a little vacation time worked in as well) Our plan going forward is to narrow the list down to the two top companies, bring them back for a follow up interview, and then be in position to make our recommendation to the CA Board. We expect to be able to complete the follow up visits in early July and be able to make our recommendation to the CA Board by the second or third week of July. We feel confident that all of the management companies who have submitted proposals can and would do a good job for us, so we have the happy problem of deciding who we are most comfortable with, who we think can be the most cost effective, and who we think will add the most value to our golfing experience in Sun City.
