This is a guide to my favorite bars, hofs, and pubs that I have been to in Seoul. While I truly subscribe to the belief that "the best travel book is the one you write yourself", I hope this will provide a little bit of direction - or at least insight - for Westerners who are looking to go out for a few drinks in Seoul.
Surely there are a number of factors that influence your experience at a bar: who you're with, the day of the week and time of the year, the people in the bar, even what you're drinking. So your experience might be different from mine. But with few noted exceptions, I have been to all of these bars at least twice, and I feel that this is an accurate representation of them.
