What is Yu-Gi-Oh! Well, here's a tiny summary. It is in fact, a show mostly about games, notably Magic and Wizards/Duel Monsters where characters duel with desks of specially built monster, trap, and magic cards. Yami is the dark half of a soul that possesses his younger reincarnation, Yuugi (who is a short, innocent tri-color-haired dwarf), through the powers of the Millennium Puzzle. Bakura possesses his light half Ryou through the powers of the Millennium Ring. There are seven Millennium Items in all - Tauk/Ring/Rod/Eye/Ankh/Scales/Puzzle, and they were made from 99 slaughtered villagers 3000 years ago in Ancient Egypt. Bakura hates Yami because it was in fact his village of thieves that died. Other notable characters include Tea/Anzu the friendship girl, Joey/Jounichi Katsuya, Yuugi's loyal friend, Tristan/Honda, the 'adult' of the group, Ishizu/Isis, the once wielder of the Millennium Tauk/Necklace, Malik/Marik, the former possessor of the Millennium Rod, (Isis and Malik are both members of the tomb-keeper clan entrusted to guard the Pharaoh's lost memories until he returns) and of course, Seto Kaiba, Yami's greatest rival, and the reincarnation of his cousin and High Priest from Ancient Egypt.

Shimon Muran - old advisor, once held Sennen Ankh, reincarnated as Yuugi's grandfather, Solomon/Sugoroku Mutou.
Mahaado - Former High Priest of the Millennium Ring. Killed in battle by Bakura, most loyal of Yami's priests, became Dark Magician.
Seth - High Priest of the Millennium Rod, Yami's first cousin, favorite card Blue Eyes White Dragon, once a girl named Kisara. Reincarnated as Seto Kaiba.
Karim - High Priest of Millennium Scales. No known reincarnation.
Akunadin - High Priest of Millennium Eye, Yami's uncle. No known reincarnation. Later became Zork, the enemy battled throughout most of the Pharaoh's memory arc.
Aishizu - High Priestess of Millennium Tauk. Reincarnated as Ishizu Ishtar.
Shadah - High Priest of Millennium Ankh. Reincarnated as Shadii, guardian of the Millennium Items.
Pharaoh Akunumkanon - Yami's deceased father, the previous Pharaoh
Pharaoh Atemu - Yami in his past before he was sealed in the Sennen Puzzle. Held Puzzle as Pharaoh.
Thief King Bakura - Killed Priest Mahaado in Memory World. Sealed in Sennen Ring. Now 'dark side' spirit of Ryou Bakura.
Mana - Priest Mahaado's apprentice and Yami's childhood friend. Became Dark Magician Girl.
