Formerly known as the Bankers Union the Intergalatic Banking Corporation was founded well before the formation of the old Pioneer Senate. The Intergalatic Banking Corporation had grown beyond the Senate and really ruled the galaxy in one way or another.
On many occasions the Senate turned to them for help and loans that would cripple them and send the galaxy in a downward spirl.
Senator Sanitarium, vocally disapproved the Senates stance on the Corporation and vowed if he was elected to Nabob that no Senate under his control would deal with them.
The former Nabob Jacques Nomes relied heavily on the IBC and this would ultimately bring forth his downfall. Nomes was assassinated while taking his morning stroll in Shiftless the capital of Pasim. Many believed that Sanitarium was at fault and some members of the IBC publicly blamed him for the killing.
As soon as Sanitarium got power the IBC became fragile, however they stuck together and survived the opening years of the Sanitarium reign of power.
What little did the IBC know, was a Pith Lord was working for them. Large Banker born aboard a Debt Star and taken away as a small child to be trained as a Java Knight, came to the IBC after being denied the right to become a full Java Knight. He took place as a Dark Lord Banker and operated out of the Debt Star Savings and rose through the ranks.
Once his Debt Star was destroyed during episode 2 the Establishment and IBC became one force, much to the surprise of the Confederacy knowing Sanitarium's stance on the IBC.
With their combined strength the Pioneer Wars which seemed to be at a stalemate suddenly turned and the Confederates were defeated on Duodena.
The IBC joined their army of Clones with the Establishment army and set a trap for the Confederates on Furthest From. Transaction who was the manager of IBC became a leading offical in the running of both groups and his words would rarely fall on deaf ears.
After their defeat on Furthest From the IBC were sent running. Their Clones who were hardest hit formed no army and were completely disbanden. Only the leading officals remained, many turned themselves in, but some such as Large Banker and Transaction fought to the death.
After the war the IBC vanished and never again has any Banking group had as much control as the Intergalatic Banking Corporation. |
