Duodena located in the middle to outer rim of the galaxy, was a thriving trade point and home planet of the Confederacy.
Duodena was known for its quiet unique environment, where it could be snowing and hot at the same time. It was this climate that made the humans living there some of the toughest in the galaxy.
A trade stop for the Merchant Federation and even the Intergalactic Banking Corporation, Duodena was quiet a wealthy place to live, as shown by its appearance. The buildings on Duodena were designed to reflex the planets wealth.
Not only was Duodena famous for it's trade routes, but it was the only planet that the rare anti-gravitional gas Bespin could be mined safely and in huge amounts. This formed Blur City high above the planet where the gas resided. Duodena's history with the Confederacy has been one of conflict and glory.
During the turn from the Republic to the Establishment, Duodena like many systems became the scene of battles against the Establishment Grand Army. The Confederacy lead by Princess Lilo held the army at bay but were overwhelmed and eventually were defeated. The hidden rebel base on Duodena, became what seemed to be the ending of the chosen one, Thomas J. Nightmare, who was executed and left on the planet. However he some how survived the ordeal.
The battle on Duodena was both on the land and in the skies above the town of Toshi. The battle signalled the end of the Pioneer Wars and the former Republic
Duodena for the years that followed the defeat on the Confederacy, became a garrison for the Establishment and launch point to engage the Rebel Resistance Movement in the outer and middle rims.
When the Shadow Wars ended and Sanitarium was destroyed Lieutenant Nope returned to Duodena which still stood. He mustered his troops, and prepared to hold Duodena and retake the outer and middle rims. A successful tactican, Nope placed 7 divisons on Duodena and prepared to hold the planet at all costs.
Nope however under estimated the amount of troops the RRM brought to take Duodena and the battle was over in a matter of months. Nope was put on trial and Duodena was retaken.
In the new years of the Republic, Duodena became the home of the new Senate, and it grew to massive proportions as the galaxy came to Duodena.
Duodena started to have environmental problems as the years kicked on and eventually the planet became unliveable for every species accept one.
The Darkfarks inhabitted the planet and live there in harmony. |
