Regular Match

Classic Mode

Normal Melee - You must fight one computer opponent to advance to the next stage. It is fairly simple, since there is only one enemy to concentrate on. If you fight in a metal battle, your opponent is metal, and much heavier.

Team Melee - You fight alongside a computer player in this battle. You are against 2 other computer players.

Bonus Stage - Bonus stages involve breaking the targets, which is basically the same as the Target Test, trying to catch trophies, and racing as far as you can to earn coins.

Giant Melee - Two computer players will help you battle one giant foe. The giant opponents are heavy, and powerful.

Multi-Man Melee - 10 slightly weak enemies will fight you in this battle. Three will come at a time, but once you killed them, more will come until you've destroyed all ten of them.

VS. Master Hand - The boss of Classic Mode is Master Hand. If you fight him on very easy, he has low stamina. Very Easy = 180, Easy = 250, Normal = 300, Hard = 325, and Very Hard = 360. he has attacks such as: Finger Laser, Catching, Fist Attack, Slapping, Screw Dive, Finger Shot, Palm Press, Finger Drill, Finger Walking, Punching, and Finger Poke. If you beat Classic Mode on Normal difficulty or harder under 15 minutes, Crazy Hand will appear after you weaken Master Hand by half of his HP. They work together to fight you. Crazy Hand has attacks such as Struggle, and he can throw bombs as well as do all of the attacks that Master Hand can do.

The order in which Classic Mode is fought in goes as follows:

Adventure Mode

Set the difficulty to Very Easy, Easy, Normal, Hard, & Very Hard. You can also change the stock, from 1-5 lives. Chose your character, and try to get a high score by collecting many bonuses. In Adventure mode, you will have to fight your way through 10 + 2 stages, each with different challenges, and tasks you must complete.

Mushroom Kingdom- On your way, you will encounter foes such as Koopas and Goombas. They have low stamina, so they are easy to take out. Close to the end, you will have to fight the Yoshi Team. If you set it on an Easy difficulty, the Yoshi team will have low stamina, but the harder you make it, the harder it is to knock them out. Finish the stage, by reaching the flag at the end of it. You will then have a two on one battle versus Mario and Peach. If you cross the flag at the end of Mushroom Kingdom, when the clock had a 2 at the end of it, you will fight Luigi instead of Mario.

Kongo Jungle- Start of Kongo Jungle by fighting two DK's that look like they have eaten a Poison Mushroom each. They will be fairly easy to KO, because of their size. As soon as you defeat the small Kongs, you will then move on to Jungle Japes, where you battle a huge DK. He is much tougher than the two small DK's, but you can trick him into falling in the water.

Underground Maze- The goal of this maze, is to find the Triforce. You will meet up with ReDeads, Like Likes, and Octoroks on your way. There are also five Link's, that will fight you if you go into their lair. The Triforce will change positions each time you play Adventure Mode's Underground Maze, but it is in one of the Link's lairs. You will then fight Zelda in Hyrule.

Brinstar- First, you must fight Samus in Brinstar. Once you beat her, you will have to escape brinstar because it is going to explode. You have only a few seconds to get out, or you will lose a life. Escape, by climbing up to the highest point.

Green Greens- At the beginning, you will fight a regular sized Kirby. After, you will fight the Kirby Team, in which each Kirby has a different character's power. They have low stamina. If you can beat them in less than 30 seconds, you will fight Giant Kirby, who is much harder to KO than the first one you fought. If you cannot beat the Kirby Team in less than 30 seconds, you will just move on to the next stage, and no harm will be done to you.

Corneria- Fight Fox in Corneria. Once you defeat him, you will then have to fight him again. (If you have unlocked Falco, there is a chance you will fight him the second time.) The second time, the Arwings shoot like mad trying to hit anything they can. A good strategy is to lure Fox/Falco into their blasts.

Pokemon Stadium- Battle Team Pikachu which has low stamina. If you have unlocked Jigglypuff, you will also fight her a few times during the fight. Many Pokeballs fall in this stage, so pick them up, and use them agains your opponents.

F-Zero Grand Prix- Run through the F-Zero Grand Prix stage which is huge. On the way, watch out for the F-Zero racers, you race by trying to hit you. Also watch that you don't fall off a platform. It's a long way down. You will then have to fight Falcon in Mute City.

Onett- Fight 3 Ness' in Onett. They have more stamina than other teams that you previously fought, so they will be more of a challenge. Though they are not that difficult.

Icicle Mountain- Climb up Icicle Mountain, but don't get left behind! It moves slowly at first, and then speeds up. On your way up, you will see Topis and Polar Bears. Try not to get hit by them, because you need your health to fight the Ice Climber Team at the top of the mountain. It is best to KO the Ice Climber in control first, because they die once and for all rather than you killing the one not in control, leaving you the other to fight.

Battlefield- Fight the Fighting Wire Frames in this stage. They have really low stamina, so 1 or two hits should KO them in Easy, and a few more hits in Very Hard. There seems to be little gravity in this stage, so when you jump, you won't fall as fast as you think you will.

Final Destination- The boss of Adventure Mode is Bowser. If you beat the game on a Normal, Hard or Very Hard difficulty, with no continues and in less than 18 minutes, you will fight Giga Bowser instead. He is obviously much harder, but unlike in the Event 51 in Event mode, Ganondorf and Mewtwo don't fight with him. Giga Bowser is fairly quick, but like most other CP's, he will stand below you when you jump above him. This gives you the opportunity to attack from above.

All-Star Mode

You will have to fight all the SSBM characters in this mode. They will be random from the beginning, but all 25 characters will show up. Sometimes you will have to fight 1 opponent at a time, and sometimes you will have to face 3 enemies at one time. Here's how it works:

Battles 1 through 4 - You will fight 1 opponent
Battles 5 through 8 - You will fight 2 opponents
Battles 9 through 12 - You will fight 3 opponents
Battle 13 (Final battle) - You will fight 25 Mr. Game and Watches

Like in Classic and Adventure Mode, you can change the difficulty of All-Star Mode. In this mode though, you only have one life. After each battle, you will go into a quiet All-Star Intro, where there are three hearts. Use them wisely, because those are the only three you get throughout the mode. Once you die, it will ask you to continue or not. This makes Hard and Very Hard very difficult to complete without continues.
