Tips & Tricks

Samus' Extended Reach - Make Samus' Gappling Beam grow about 3 times the size! First, stand on a platform and use it by pressing Z. While it is out, tap Z quickly and repeatedly, and press Up and Down on the control pad quickly. The next time you use it, it will be much longer. To grab someone with it, push A when it comes in contact with them.

Fox's & Falco's Call - Fox and Falco can call their friends who cheer them on, and give them tips. As either Fox or Falco, stand on a platform, and quickly press left and right on the control pad repeatedly. They will contact their friend who will come moments later. If you are attcked during this process, your friends will stop talking to you.

Throwing Pokemon - If you throw a Poke Ball and Electrode comes out, you can throw him. When he turns black, you can pick him up. You'd better throw him quickly, or he'll blow up in your hands.

Start as Sheik - To start off as Sheik instead of Zelda as soon as a battle starts, just hold A while the battle is loading.

Arrange your Trophies - When you are about to view your collection, hold either L, X, or Y to arrange your trophies in either a rectangle, oval, or triangle.

Return to Main Screen - Hold A and push Start on almost any screen, to return straight to the menu screen.

Alternate Music - If you hold R or L while choosing the stage you will play in, the music for that stage will change. Here are the stages, and their alternate music.
Great Bay - Saria's Theme
Temple - Fire Emblem
Yoshi's Island - Super Mario Bros. 3
Pokémon Stadium - Battle Theme
Onett - Mother 2
Icicle Mountain - Balloon Fight
Mushroom Kingdom - Dr. Mario
Battlefield - Multi-Man Melee 1
Final Destination - Multi-Man Melee 2

Finishing Pose - At the end of a battle, if you win hold either B, Y, or X to pose the way you want.

Glitches & Such

Ever notice that on the bottom of the Barrel Canon it says 2L84ME? (Too late for me) Which in fact is what you would think if you were stuck inside.

There is actually a sign in Onett that warns you about the black car that will crash into you.

Yoshi's Story actually looks like it is made from cardboard.

The freakiest thing in this game, is a third eye on the back of Daisy's Trophy's head.

In both of DK's stages, you'll find Klaptraps that pop out of the water once in a while. If you touch them, they will inflict damage.

There is actually a sign in Mushroom Kingdom that warns you if you walk to far, you will get killed. The sign reads "DANGER."

If you zoom in on the trophy of Metal Mario, you will notice a reflection on him. The reflection is of the Yoshi's Island stage.

On the far left of Jungle Japes is an out-house. You never know what might happen during an SSBM battle.

You'll notice Cranky inside the house in Jungle Japes.

In your trophy room, where all the trophies are, you'll see most of Nintendo's system's in the background. If you change the language to Japanese, some of the systems will change too. NES will change to Famicom.
