"Annie"
Silky Rescue

Annie was rescued from the OKC Shelter, Fall 1999.
When I first laid eyes on her, her skin was black from filth and was
MOVING!! from all the fleas, she was felt matted to the skin, anemic,
painfully thin, AND heartworm positive.
Under the expert care of her new forever Mom Patty and Dr. Nell,
she has successfully completed her heartworm treatment and blossomed
into the beautiful and happy Annie that you see now.

With the finest care by her new Mom & Dr. Nell, Annie is now fully recovered and living in Florida.

Update - I have been told that Annie lived a very full & happy life
before succumbing to the effects of her bout with heartworms.

"Allie"
Yorkie Rescue

Allie was released to YTMAR by a home who had rescued her.
There was undoubtedly alot of neglect if not outright abuse in her past.
She was suffering from erlichia and we would find out later,
from a broken jaw. Her new Mom attempted to have the jaw
repaired without success. However, Allie now has a charming
new sister and a wonderful home where I know she will live life
to the utmost in spite of her injury. This dear little soul
stole much more than a piece of my heart.
Allie has a new name, and is living with her family in Missouri.

"Grace"
Yorkie Rescue

Grace and her sister were rescued in Missouri by YTMAR.
It was decided that in this case, it was in the girls best
interest to be separated. Grace came to me in Oklahoma and
and then ultimately to one of those homes that we all dream
of for our most special rescued kids.

Grace now has "siblings" who come to visit but mostly enjoys
being the center of her world and the Queen of all she surveys.
Happily for me, Grace is living here in Oklahoma where visits are possible.

Remi
"Remi"
Shih Tzu Rescue

Remi is a petite young Shih Tzu boy that was rescued from a shelter
here in central Oklahoma. Remi is very sweet, housetrained, walks on
a leash, rides very well in the car, is good with dogs, men, women &
older children. He is so well socialized - it's almost unimaginable that
this precious little Shih Tzu ended up wandering the streets and
and ultimately landed in a shelter!! Seems no one this little guy
comes in contact with ever fails to fall under his spell.
Remi has a darling baby Tzu brother, a very special family that
loves and adores him, and is living in the best of all worlds in Ohio.

"Seamus"
STCA Silky Rescue

Seamus was found wandering the streets in central Oklahoma.
He was very thin, dirty and matted. The family who found him
cleaned him up, gave him his shots, and put on some much needed weight.
Then he came to Silky Rescue to find a wonderful new home. It is a kind
of running joke in rescue that everyone wants a small young female.
Well, I had received a call from a very nice family looking for a larger
male just a short time before receiving Seamus. Hallelujah!!
Someone who understands how wonderful the boys can be.
Seamus is adored, loves his walks and going to work with his new Dad.
Just look at that face. Truly a match made in heaven.
Seamus is living nearby in central Oklahoma.
