"Democrats & the Military" -
Patterson talked about his experience in the military, and as a senior ranking officer in the Clinton White House he learned the Democratic Party cannot be trusted with national security. O'Neill, the Naval officer who took over John Kerry's Swift Boat in Vietnam gave his account of what he believes to be Kerry's true war record: that Kerry's war wounds were self-inflicted, his medals gained under false pretenses, his self-portrayal as a hero false and his post-war protests filled with lies. 9/11 EVENTS
September 11th rally fighting world terrorism
The world recently witnessed one of the most disgusting terrorist acts ever to be committed - the murdering of over 300 innocent Russian schoolchildren. Some were shot in the back of the head by their cowardly and heartless captors as they were fleeing the school gym. This was preceded by the bombing of two Russian airliners, killing dozens of people. It is clear that terrorism is a world threat and that it has to be stopped through a united effort amongst all nations. There is no debate left on this issue - we must work together to rid this world of those evil people who kill innocent children and people behind the false screen of preserving their religion. And, we must not forget September 11th marks the 3rd anniversary of the worst terorist act ever committed against the United States of America when over 3,000 people were murdered. KNTV-11 news covered our rally.

September 11th Candlelight Vigil

A new memorial was built by Oak Hill Cemetary to remember all the victims of the 9/11 terrorist attacks. The memorial service was featured on KPIX-5, KNTV-11, and KDTV-14 newscasts. Silicon Valley Taxpayer's Association vs. Oral arguments are scheduled to be heard in appellate court in San Jose re: the lawsuit, Silicon Valley Taxpayer's Association vs. Santa Clara County Open Space Authority. This litigation involves interpretation of Prop. 218 and is a landmark case which will determine how "special benefit and general benefit" to individual properties will be defined in reference to the creation of benefit assessment districts. Benefit District Assessments require a majority vote by property owners, where property tax measures require two thirds majority of all voters. This case has caught the attention of voting property owners in other counties which have proposed similar benefit district assessments for open space acquisitions around the state. Among plaintiffs in this case are ARW members, Donna Courtright and Mary Thompson. You may have heard Donna's recent interview by Barbara Simpson (KSFO) re: the issue. www.svtaxpayers.org/svtaxpayers
