Soriano has become one of the best fantasy players. This season he is batting .322 with 18HR 46RBI and 21SB. This guy is the real deal.Hold on to him because he is valuable in every category and will continue to be. Look for Soriano to hit .330 with 33HR 90RBI and 40SB. |
Shea has become much more patient and selective at the plate this season. This has lead to more walks and hits and less strikeouts. He has become one of the best 3rd baseman in the game. Look for his .313BA 13HR and 49RBI to go down a little in the second half though. |

NBA Draft 2002 with Dan Barile |
The first three picks Yao Ming,Jay Williams and Mike Dunleavy we already knew would happen. From there on though nothing was predictable. First Caron Butler dropped to no.10 with the Heat. This was the biggest steal of the draft because Caron will make an instant impact and should have been drafted in the 3-5 range. Then the next guy to slip drastically was Qyntel Woods. Qyntel looked like a sure lottery pick with his comparisons to Tracy McGrady.Off the court problems doing drugs possibly with Lamar Odom had him slip to no.21 with the Blazers. One other player who slipped was Ron Grizzard. He fell all the way to no.39 to Washington while many saw him going 20-25. |
Two guys who really moved up in the draft were Fred Jones of Oregon and Ryan Humphrey of Notre Dame. Jones was taken 14th by the Pacers, which seemed very early for an undersizes shooting guard. Humphrey was taken 19th by Utah and then traded to Orlando along with Jamal Sampson for Curtis Borchardt the 18th pick. Many trades were also made at the draft. The big trade was between Denver and New York. New York sent Marcus Camby,Mark Jackson and Nene Hilario to Denver and they received Antonio McDyess and Frank Williams. To read about more draft trades and trade rumors Click Here. |
