“Fierce, your view of the world astonishes me.  Everything is black and white to you.  You people on the RIGHT can’t see anything in shades of gray.  Maybe if you actually took the time to hear a different side of the story, you wouldn’t have such a simplistic view of what’s right and what’s wrong.”

Nice try, but the "black and white thinking" accusation is the greatest red herring to come about in recent years.

Why do you confuse a strong opinion with a simplistic view?  Is it not possible to hear all sides of a story, consider all the facts, and then come to an opinion?  The "gray-area" zone of thinking is a hazy world of logic where you aren’t allowed to have an opinion because it might be debatable, and it might offend someone.

Saying the world is a giant gray area is merely a lazy substitute for balancing the facts and taking a stand on an issue that might not be popular.  It takes critical thinking to choose and defend your stance on an issue.  The “big gray area” mentality is just indecisiveness.

“I know you’ll put this on your Dungaroo Court thing (if you print it at all) but I don’t care.  There are more and more poor and unemployed people in this country every day.  If the government doesn’t spend money on commissions and studies to find out WHY people are in poverty, how can the problem be solved?  Or would you rather ignore them and go on pontificating on your website about how great everything is, for the rich.”

Here’s a “think outside the box” question for you: Why don't we hear about any government-commissioned studies of rich people?  Think about it!  Wouldn’t it be worthwhile to study people who have successfully obtained wealth, to learn how they did it?  Maybe the study could serve as a roadmap for those who are struggling or just starting out in the real world.  One thing though: if such a study was done of people who moved from a poor situation to one with a significant amount of wealth, I guarantee you the overwhelming common factor will be hard work.  There would be some luck and some opportunity involved, but I’d bet the vast majority of those studied would be found to have been eager students, to have worked beyond the standard 40-hour work week for a long period of time, and to have sacrificed spending time and money on superfluous things.  Maybe the reason we don't hear about such studies is because people don’t want to hear that.

“I just found your Talking Fierce website and I’m through with it already.  You’re just part of the blind conservative groups and your opinions are meaningless for it.  You lost me when you preach about making it on your own without any help from anyone.  You don’t get that it’s impossible for most people.  You have help from the government too, you just will never admit it.  What do you think will happen to this country when the government isn’t taking care of us any more?”

You're delusional.  I've never said anything about anyone not needing help.  If you haven't read
Fierce Conviction on this website, please do.  If you did, please read it again.  The government does have its role, but it is NOT as caretaker.  And for good reason: it can’t be such.  If you spend your life relying on the government, you are going to live a life of disappointments.  The sooner you learn how to find success in other ways, the better off you will be.

Witness:
M.W.
Testimony:
“Your article on Star Wars media lies is fantastic!  Keep up the good work!  I think films like The Two Towers and Harry Potter are over-rated, and I’m sick of Star Wars being bashed unfairly in the media.  Opinions are fine, but they should be objective!”

Witness:  J.R.
Testimony: "Fierce your Star Wars article is laughable.  There is no media conspiracy here, the movies are just sub-standard.  People see that and prefer Spider-Man and Lord of the Rings, plain and simple.  You’re kidding yourself to think critics aren’t speaking their honest feeling about Star Wars, because the fans feel the same way."

VERDICT:  It is obvious that this contest cannot be decided by our knowledge of the Force…

“Hey Fierce, why didn’t Jango Fett use his jetpack to escape Mace Windu before he was beheaded?" - H.C.

His jetpack busted when the Reek trampled him.  He tries to launch just before Mace gets him, and you can see the exhaust that comes out of the jetpack when it fails on him.

VERDICT:  Jango will never be the head of a major corporation.

Plaintiff: P.L.
Evidence: “I got one of your TalkingFierce pens, and it’s totally a piece of CRAP!  You better print this message because it’s a rip-off.  The label fell off the first day I got it, and it’s already out of ink.  What crap.  I was going to order a hat too but not if this is the quality."

Throw it out!  It was free.
