How The Hypocritical Left Claims Both Sides of the Coin

Everyone is entitled to an opinion.  And everyone’s opinions are different.  But at the same time, there are definable guidelines that exist which give some opinions more validity than others.  For instance, opinions that can be disputed by facts may be considered invalid.  Such misinformed opinions are usually innocent and due to a lack of thorough research.  But there are other forms of misguided opinions for which the root cause goes much deeper.  Sometimes there is an agenda involved.  And there is no greater distinguishing factor to separate these two circumstances than the existence of a double standard.  Indeed, when one is shown to exhibit hypocrisy across a set of opinions, nothing invalidates those opinions more soundly.  Hypocrisy shows not ignorance, but rather the greater sin of bias and a slanted thought process.

Viewpoints can vary, but it is essential that they be based on a solid moral foundation and applied evenly to all situations.  To do otherwise is to submit to contaminated thinking.  Hypocrisy and double standards do not result from a well-considered, fair and moral perspective.

When it comes to hypocrisy, it’s hard to ignore the preponderance of it that comes from the contemporary Left in our society.  This often-vocal side of the political spectrum regularly exhibits an abundance of incompatible stances.  Their viewpoints shift from one moral platform to another.  In order for the Left to carry any validity in their arguments, these contradictions must be resolved.  Until they are, exposing the hypocrisy is the surest way to repudiate their assertions.

The reason behind the hypocrisy: The Left has an agenda.  Their beliefs are so anti-capitalist, and their class envy is so strong, they actually want to see America’s prosperity fall.  They embrace socialism and communism, and despise free-market competitiveness.  They are unashamed moral relativists who resent integrity and success.  But although their beliefs are radical, the Left permeates American society due to their influence in the arenas of journalism, education, and entertainment.

But as we will see, the Left often defeats its own arguments.  Its proponents claim to want religious freedom for all, yet they fight vigorously against expression of religions they look unfavorably upon.  They preach against racial division, but endorse policies that encourage it - often profiting by it.  They stress freedom of speech, yet are behind the poisonous movement of political correctness.  They claim to want free choice for all, but place restrictions on choices they don’t like.  Their policies promote unqualified distribution of wealth, wasteful spending, and dependency of people upon government.

The following is an assortment of examples of the Left’s unfailing hypocrisy, categorized by the various domains in which they claim to hold the moral high-ground.
