| as Suzaku No Miko, must find her seven constellations (seishi) to summon the animal god to protect the country she is in (Konan). Even later, she is transferred back to her world by a spell, but Yui, who had been reading the ancient book, was re-summoned in to it. When Miaka returns to the book, she finds out that Yui has become the Shrine Maiden of the God Seiryuu (Seiryuu No Miko), whom she must fight against. Will Miaka and Yui stay as friends? | Fushigi Yuugi is an anime about two 15 year old girls named Miaka Yuuki and Yui Hongo who, after school one day, go to the national library and come across a mysterious old book entitled "The Universe of the Four Gods". After Yui reads the first page of the book, she and Miaka get pulled into the book, and into a land resembling ancient China. They are then attacked by 'traffickers' (guys who kidnap, buy and sell girls, and usually rape them as well), and saved by a man (17 years old) with the Chinese symbol for demon/ogre/soul/ghost (still not confirmed) on his forehead. When He finds out they have no money, he leaves, Yui chases after him, and she disappears into the same red light that brought them there. Later on Miaka finds out that she is the one destined to be the Shrine Maiden of the God Suzaku (Suzaku No Miko), she accepts after being told that she will have all her wishes fulfilled. She, |
