Article 158. Violations against the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

Attempt on the life of the President of Uzbekistan.

- is punishable by imprisonment from ten to twenty years or by capital punishment with confiscation of property.

Deliberate infliction of bodily harm to the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan

- is punishable by imprisonment from five to ten years with confiscation of property.

The public humiliation or libel in relation to the President of Republic of Uzbekistan, equally with the use of printed or other media

- is punishable by forced labor up to three years or arrest for up to six months or imprisonment for up to five years.

Article 159. The violations of the constitutional order of the Republic of Uzbekistan

The public calls to unconstitutional changes to the existing state order, capture of power or removal from power of legally elected or assigned representatives of power or to unconstitutional violations of the unity of the territory of Republic of Uzbekistan, equally the distribution of materials of such content

- is punishable by a fine of up to fifty minimal salaries or imprisonment for up to three years.

Forced actions directed to the prevention of legal activity of constitutional branches of power or the change thereof not covered by the Constitution, by the parallel structures of power, equally non-fulfillment within the stated term of decisions of authorized branches of state power about dismissal of the structures of power, created out of order, covered by the Constitution of the Republic of Uzbekistan

- is punishable by a fine of fifty to a hundred minimal salaries or imprisonment of three to five years.

Actions covered by part 1 or 2 of this article committed:

a) repeatedly or by a dangerous recidivist

b) by organized group in its interests

- is punishable by imprisonment from five to ten years.

A conspiracy with the aim of capturing the power or overthrowing the constitutional order of the Republic of Uzbekistan

- is punishable by imprisonment from ten to twenty years with the confiscation of the property.

A person, who voluntarily reported to the authorities about the conspiracy, as a result of which the taken measures prevented the realization of the conspiracy, is freed from punishment.

Article 216. Organization of banned social groups or religious organizations.

Organization or resumption of activity of banned social groups and religious organizations, equally active participation in their activity

- is punishable by fine of fifty to a hundred minimal salaries or arrest up to six months or imprisonment for up to five years.
