| What is Youth Teams? |
| Youth Teams is a branch of Teams of Our Lady that is made up of and run by young people. Youth Teams was first introduced in Trinidad by a young Trinidadian who encountered this movement in France. For many youths in YTOL (Youth Teams of Our Lady), this movement acts as a Catholic support system for them, a place where they can share their experiences as they move forward in life while learning more about their faith and growing in the Spirit. The members of YTOL can range in age from 17 - 27 and an average number of members in one team is 7 people. A team also has a spiritual guide - usually a priest, and a married couple who acts as a source of wisdom for its young members. Like "grown up" Teams, the youth team holds meeting once every month at the homes of the different members. A meeting is made up of 4 different parts - Bible study, Prayer, Life Sharing and the Chosen Effort. Because of the diverse culture that exists in Trinidad, it is possible to be a Team member without being a Roman Catholic. The Youth Teams of Our Lady would love to answer any questions about this movement.
