| Now, unless you're new to Sonic games, you know that Sonic's always stopping Dr. Eggman's evil plans for world domination. Sometimes he uses the power of the seven Chaos Emeralds to become Super Sonic and blow Eggman's robots to smithereens; other times he just beats him up one-on-one. But recently, Sonic has mysteriously vanished. No one can find any trace of him. The only thing anyone knows is that Sonic was last seen in Green Hill Zone.
Of course, Eggman's more than happy about Sonic's disappearance, and is taking advantage of the situation by collecting the Chaos Emeralds. With nobody to stop him, Eggman easily collects all seven. But he's not satisfied with that; next, he wants to get the Master Emerald, so he can use it to harness the full extent of the Chaos Emeralds' power. Now, enter GUN (AKA the Guardian Unit of Nations), the secret military force that tried to kill Shadow the Hedgehog fifty years ago in Space Colony. They know that Eggman must be stopped before he gets the Master Emerald and obtains world domination. They decide to use the stolen Project Shadow blueprints to create a new hedgehog, that has all of Sonic's abilities (of course, they could just ask Shadow to stop Eggman, but nooo.... they've gotta build another clone of Sonic). They end up building a robot similar to Sonic, called Techno Alpha. However, Alpha is deemed too heavy and clunky to fulfill Sonic's abilities, so GUN scraps it and makes a newer version: Techno Beta (referred to simply as "Techno"). This updated version looks identical to Sonic, except for his green hue. Unfortunately, Techno is unable to do Sonic's signature move, the Spin dash, so GUN hides their second failed creation deep underground in a secret base. But it's just the beginning of the story for Techno; Eggman ends up finding out about this new Sonic copy, and gets intimidated. So, he and some of his Badniks attack the GUN base in an attempt to destroy our hero. Ironically enough, this actually frees Techno from his underground prison. Now, whether GUN likes it or not, Techno is going to fulfill his mission: Stop Eggman from getting the Master Emerald... Along the way, Techno meets old friends, like Shadow, Amy, Tails, and even Chaos. Oh, and what of Sonic himself? Only time will tell... To download Techno the Hedgehog, visit the Downloads Page.
