you know : Hi Fred - it's Karen. You "old" fogies sure
remember a lot. My seniority date with United was 7/8/68 -- I can't
compete with all your seniority, but I don't want to either!! The
airline business has sure been fun.
We see you, Fred! Although
there were many handsome men and women in the graduating class of' '54
it was easy to spot you, Fred. Fourth from the right in the bottom
row. What a standout!

was a great time for commercial aviation as we all agreed in our recent
phone call. I started with United on 2/21/53, pretty close in time
to this Eastern class. There were about 15,000 folks working for
United then, there are over 90,000 now. The business has changed
a little, hasn't it? I met Karen, my wife and got to know Fred through
her. I owe the airlines a lot. |
