Teddy Mejia is now a flight attendant for
Sun Jet Airlines. He was on a layover in New York, took a sleigh
from EWR to Island Park, L.I. to wish his long time friend, F/A Pat Burton
Kenny a very Merry Christmas. (All of the Christmas decorations
in the above photo were made by Pat.)

TRIP TO THE
NORTH POLE 2001

Jacobs, Ted Sneed and Marilyn McFadden. (front row) Nancy McGrath,
Loretta Hazelton Cafiero, Bette Dunne Anderson, Patricia Burton Kenny,
Lois Oberg and Louise Gibson.
(Ann Liston Jacobs and Bette Dunne Anderson both
came to Easter Airlines via the merger between Colonial Airlines and EAL.)

On December 8, 2001, the N.Y. Chapter of
the Silverliners hosted their annual Fantasy Flight to the North Pole at
the Schneider Children’s Hospital in Glen Oaks, NY. In previous years
the Trip to the North Pole had been held at USAir at LGA. Due to
the security changes at the airports, co-president, Pat Kenny, in conjunction
with the parents of the children, changed the venue from LGA to the hospital.
More than 100 children from the Pediatric Hematology / Oncolology Unit
of the Hospital, enjoyed the Christmas festivities. They were entertained
by the Long Island Banjo Society, had their pictures taken with Santa Claus,
ate hamburgers donated by McDonald’s, pizza, cookies and other goodies.
