Evangelion Unit 00


PILOT
Rei Ayanami

INFORMATION
Unit 00 was the first Eva to be completely produced. It is a prototype and is used mainly for testing in the early portion of the series. Also, Unit 00 has had a hard time being successfully activated and was rarely used until the 5th Angel attacked where it went into combat for the first time. This Eva seems to have a strong effect on the pilots and appears to hate mankind for creating it. Unit 00 has also had many more bad days. In it's first battle, it's exterrior armor was severly damaged and resulted in new armor and a new paint job changing it from yellow to blue. Unit 00 was destroyed when the sixteenth Angel attacked Tokyo-3. The Angel made an attempt to read Rei's mind to learn more about the species, but Rei would not allow this, so she managed to gather enough strenght to activate the self-destruct sequence for the Eva, destroying the Eva along with the Angel.

Evangelion Unit 01

Purple with traces of Green, Blue and Orange

INFORMATION
It has fought in most of the battles between the Angels, and is a great assest to Nerv. It was the second Eva to be constructed, and is a prototype like Rei's Unit 00. Unit 01 has been known to go berserk, often with no power supply, whenever Shinji is hurt enough to let his mind go out of control. Eventually, the Eva broke loose of the restraints that man had placed on it and became it's own individual being, eating a dead Angel. The Dummy Plug system was a failure when used on Unit 01 as well.

Evangelion Unit 02

Asuka Langly Soryu

Red with traces of White and Yellow

INFORMATION
Unit 02 is the first real Evangelion, meaning that it is not a prototype. It was constructed in Germany (where Auska hails from) and was shiped across the ocean by half of the UN Pacific Fleet where it had it's first battle. There isn't anything really special about this Eva, but Auska does end up giving up her Eva to another pilot because her ego and old memories gets the better of her and her Sync. Ratio drops to the point where it wouldn't even operate.

Evangelion Unit 03

Dark Grey with Red and White

INFORMATION
Unit 03 was constructed in the US and sent to one of Nerv's secondary testing facilities (luckily) where it and it's new pilot would activate it for the first time. Unfortunately, the Eva really turned out to be an Angel and caused a great deal of damage to the facility, it's surrounding area and the Eva's that were forced to battle it. It was distroyed by Unit 01 when Gendo Ikari orderd that a Dummy System be initialized to take care of the Angel. It was ripped limb from limb and covered most of the surrounding area with blood.

INFORMATION
These are the many other Evangelions that were constructed by various nations across the globe while Nerv was fighting the Angels. When the Angels were destroyed, these Evangelions were sent to Tokyo-3 with massive armies to prevent the 3rd impact. They are held off very well by Asuka who manages one last battle in The End of Evangelion, but they are much stronger than past Evangelions and once again awaken and destroy Asuka. These Evangelions are important in the Human Instrumentality Program.
