Donkey Kong Country
This game came out on Super Nintendo. It was a good game, with three dimensional characters. The game had excellent graphics and Sonic the Hedgehog style gameplay. It was about the big man Donkey Kong and his little chimp friends Diddy and their adventures through the land of Donkey Kong Country. They were on a mission to stop the evil Kremling King, K. Rool.

There were many spin-offs from this game. Donkey Kong Country 2 was the first one. It was about Diddy and his girlfriend Dixie on a mission to save DK from K. Rool. Donkey Kong Country 3 was Dixie and her brother on a mission to do whatever. They got rather rediculous after a while but the first two were fun.

Some of the newer spin-offs include Diddy Kong Racing where Diddy and his friends have to save Timber's island from the clutches of the evil pig wizard from space, Wizpig. Then there was Conker's Pocket Tales for Gameboy and Donkey Kong 64, which has the same plot as Donkey Kong Country, only it's in full 3-D. Now there is Conker's Bad Fur Day for Nintendo 64. Conker got his start in Diddy Kong Racing. DK is also in Super Smash Brothers.

So you can see that Donkey Kong Country was the start of a lot of good video games, but none of it would have been possible without the original Donkey Kong games.

I like the Donkey Kong Country Games and I give them and all their spin-offs 4 thumbs up!
