The Club 420 is one of the fastest growing double-handed dinghies in the United States. Forget Mustangs and Thunderbirds, the teens of today are diggin' this lowrider! Sorry for the cheesy remark, it was failed attempt to make you laugh. Anyway, it is most commenly used in high schools and colleges, but not limited to either. Built since 1978, the boat is one of the most fastest and most enjoyable boats to sail because of the trapeze and the sugary sweet simplicity of the rig. This is also an excellent boat for anyone who can't stand sailing Blue Jay or Optimist fleets anymore. Or maybe you just are looking for a change. Whatever. Just take one out, cause it's an experience. I sailed one in October of 1999 in twenty-five knot winds and freezing cold air and water temperature. It was an absolute blast...I was buggin' out as we were planing upwind! And once we got that that spinnaker up we were smokin'! Expect that rush daily if you choose to sail a 420. There's pretty much no drawbacks about this amazing boat unless you hate going fast or getting soaked!
