The Angry Cow's Bishounen Shrine!

This is the Angry Cow's Bishounen Shrine. Here at the Angry Cow, we have been putting off any kind of "Top 10 Guys of Anime" type list for quite some time. It's so... done. You know? There are thousands of such pages. But with the advent of more and more pictures into our grubby little hands, Cow Management has decided that we will indeed join the masses (and I do mean masses) of people who have little shrines to cute anime guys. However, in an effort to make this page better than most (it might fail, but at least it was an effort), we decided to make everything all clean and organized and hopefully good-looking and informative as well. This shrine will attempt to give you both pics and info about every guy on it; mostly about why we think the guy is so incredibly hot. If you're male, you should probably leave at this point. Organized from 1-20, here's the Angry Cow's favorite Bishounen Guys! And although they are in order, I pretty much love every single one and would happily live on a deserted island with him (well, for some of them I'd have to be a different age, or they would, because they're too young or too old, but other than that minor detail...). If you click on the picture you should go to a page of info and a few pictures of the guy in question. So, enjoy! *NOTE* As of 04/18/99, all but 3 of the galleries are up (I'm having some trouble with them, so, if you get an error for Touya, Asuka Jr., Keiichi, or Zel, that's why.)

1		NAME: Hayama Akito AGE: 12. (I know, but he's so cute!) SHOW: Kodomo no Omocha, the best show ever! WHY: Because of his awesome personality (well, he looks cool too.) He's smart and cool and rather withdrawn; he's just awesome, it's unexplainable. He can be so cute. I love Kodocha so much! Akito wa kawaii desune!
2		NAME: Himura Kenshin AGE: 28, I think. He LOOKS about 20 (or less) SHOW: Rurouni Kenshin (This is a great show.) WHY: Well, he's incredibly good-looking. Also, besides being an extremely talented swordsman, he cooks and does dishes and laundry. And he's honorable and noble and kind and sweet and really polite. Other than being an ex-assassin and attracting tons of trouble, he's perfect.
3		NAME: Asuka Jr. (Asuka Daiki) AGE: 14 or 15, I think. SHOW: Kaitou Saint Tail (I love this show!) WHY: He's really, really cute. Also, he seems kind hearted and is very honorable and honest. He can be a little full of himself at times, but he really wants to do the right thing. Plus he's very cute; everyone in Saint Tail is permanently SD.
4		NAME: Omi Tsukiyono AGE: 17 SHOW: Weiss Kreuz (AKA: Buckets'o'Angst) WHY: Omi is so cute! He's also incredibly smart and deadly with darts or crossbows. Plus he's really sweet and nice, and he takes care of his friends. He's also really cheerful, even though he's got the worst past of the 4 Weiss guys (and the others feel pretty damn sorry for themselves, lemme tell you).
5		NAME: Van Fanel AGE: 16? SHOW: Vision of Escaflowne WHY: Van's sweet, kind, brave and nice. But what makes him so incredibly hot is that he has wings. Any guy with wings is automatically 10 times cuter than before. Plus, Van is brave and unselfish and honorable (though he can be a complete dumbass at times).
6		NAME: Gourry Gabriev AGE: No idea. In his 20s? SHOW: Slayers WHY: Gourry is so chivalrous and sweet. He's got honor and he's brave and he's not bad looking either. I know he's a bit dense at times, but after I saw him carry Lina when she was hurt, and sleep on the floor because she was in his room, I was so in love. He's also just funny when he's dumb.
7		NAME: Duo Maxwell AGE: 15 (!!) SHOW: Gundam Wing (Gundam W) WHY: Duo is good looking, but all the Gundam guys are. The thing I love is his personality. He's nice, honest, mischievious, and just generally happy and cute and adorable! I just want to hug Duo whenever I see him.
8		NAME: Ranma Saotome (Saotome Ranma) AGE: 16? 17? SHOW: Ranma 1/2 WHY: When he stops being macho long enough to do something nice, he's so sweet. And I like his hair. And he can be really cute sometimes.
9		NAME: Ken Hidaka AGE: 19 SHOW: Weiss Kreuz (AKA Buckets'o'Angst) WHY: Ken is honest and loyal and trusting. He's caring and nice and cute and he plays soccer. I adore Ken. He's awesome.
10		NAME: Chichiri AGE: ?? 20-25? SHOW: Fushigi Yuugi (Mysterious Play) WHY: He acts cute and cheerful and funny. He's also really smart and wise, and he's my favorite seishi even though he's not the best looking of them. NO DA!!
11		NAME: Touya Kinomoto (Touya-oniichan) AGE: 17 (we think) SHOW: Card Captor Sakura (KAWAII!) WHY: He's so cool! Plus as Sakura's big bro, he's kind and sweet to her sometimes, which is adorable. And he always has all these hilariously crappy jobs! The poor guy. Hee hee.
12		NAME: Recca Hanabishi AGE: 16 SHOW: Flame Of Recca WHY: He's sweet and completely devoted and loyal to his Hime (princess). This is really admirable in modern times (at least I think so). Plus his ever-present band-aid is cute.
13		NAME: Makoto Mizuhara AGE: 16 SHOW: El Hazard WHY: Makoto is the epitomy of kind, sweet, gentle and naive. He's sensitive and caring and nice and thoughtful and almost female.
14		NAME: Tasuki AGE: Around 20? SHOW: Fushigi Yuugi (Mysterious Play) WHY: I know he's a little mysogynistic, but he's so funny, and sneaky, and he's a bandit! Plus his best friend with blue hair is also very funny and cute. They're both so cute!
15		NAME: Zelgadis Graywords AGE: 18-20 (?) SHOW: Slayers WHY: Zel's full of bad vibes, but he's cute and nice and does good things. He's also a great magician. He's half golem, so his body is made of stone. That's unfortunate, because he was cuter when he was human, but he's still awesome.
16		NAME: Orphen AGE: ?? SHOW: Sorcerous Stabber Orphen WHY: It's ALL his looks. I'm serious. I've never seen this show, I just think he looks cute and funny and a little bit goth. When I finally get to see the show, I'll update.
17		NAME: Ferio AGE: ?? (15-16) SHOW: Magic Knight Rayearth WHY: Green hair is SO cute. And he's funny, and brave, and really, really sweet and romantic to Fuu. And he's got a cute little scar too.
18		NAME: Heero Yuy (Hiro?) AGE: 15 (!!) SHOW: Gundam Wing (Gundam W) WHY: Well, okay, so he's one of the most angst-filled people in anime, but he's cute. Plus when he forgets to be gloomy and irritable, he's cool, interesting, cute, and even nice.
19		NAME: Kane Blueriver AGE: 20 (YES! He's past puberty!) SHOW: Lost Universe WHY: Personally I detest the cape he's always wearing, but he adores it. But he's so cute without it! (Like Gourry with no armor on!) Anyway, Kane is pretty cool and very nice.
20		NAME: Keiichi Morisato AGE: Around 20, I'd guess... In college... SHOW: Oh My Goddess! (Ah! Megami-sama!) WHY: Well, some of my friends think he's a dork, but I think he's nice and sweet in that loser sort of way. Reminds me of guys I know...

HONORARY BISHOUNEN: Zechs, from Gundam Wing. He's hot, but I normally wouldn't have him here; but I have this picture. Aburatsubo-sempai, from Mahou Tsukai Tai. He's AWESOME. Too bad he's gay, and therefore off limits... WHY ISN'T (FILL IN THE BLANK) ON THIS PAGE?!?! We here at the Cow based our decisisions on the following three criteria: 1. He has to be cute AND have a good personality. 2. We have to like him personally, no matter how many other people like him. 3. We dislike all almost androgynous guys, no matter how hot they may be. If your guy is not covered under that, the following reasons are offered: 1. We have never seen the show he's in. 2. We have only 20 spaces here and decided to pick our favorites. 3. You're imagining things; he's not that cute.
