This is a non-profit site designed to encourage the creative process of making fan music videos. No copyright infringement is intended. Best viewed in Mozilla Firefox.

Tolerable Cruelty is a multi-fandom vidding awards site. The name says it all: our aim is to run a merit-based awards system for serious vidders, to judge with a set of clearly-defined and objective criteria, and to give recognition where it's due.

Awards are held monthly and there is no cap to the number of entries per round. Unless stated otherwise, entries will be accepted between the 1st and the 20th, and awards posted at the end of each month.

Able to tolerate the cruelty of gloves-off and oft-snarky judgment? Please submit your video today!

As of May 2006 we no longer send feedback on request.

Updates

10 November 2006
Round 12 winners are up! It was a tremendously difficult round and we had a lot of trouble coming to our final decisions. Entries to this site have always been of an exceptionally high calibre, and this was aptly demonstrated by our final round. Thank you all very much for submitting.

This officially concludes the TCAs. We want to thank everyone for supporting this site over the last year; we've had a lot of fun and made a whole bunch of new friends in the process. Special thanks to Wolkenfuehlen for helping out with award-making, and to Bradcpu for stepping in for a spot of guest judging in round 11. We hope to keep in touch with everybody via other means!

Cheers
Nicky and Ilya

6 November 2006
Once again, apologies for our lateness with the awards. Life has been hectic for both of us and we haven't had much time to devote to the TCAs. Judging is now complete and we're in the process of making awards and writing reviews. As usual, winners will be notified by email when the awards go up. Cheers. :)

2 November 2006
Sorry for the lack of updates. Judging should be finalised today, and then it shouldn't take more than a couple of days to get awards/reviews done. Thanks for your patience!

20 October 2006
Entries updated and submissions are now closed at 48 entries. Thank you for entering! We're hoping to get the winners up by the end of the month, though we're both quite busy so there's a chance they might not be up until a few days into November. Will keep you posted. :)
