Vidding likes: On-point editing, subtlety, attention to movement and composition, clever clip-lyric matches. Though I love well-cut vids and the effort that go into them, what matters most to me is flow, nuanced syncing of audio and visuals, emotional resonance, and most of all insight into your subject matter.
Vidding dislikes: a lack of musicality, "talky face", flashy effects/transitions that lack intention and meaning, stretched clips, too many clips that get slowed down or dragged out.

Vidding dislikes: Extremely long clips, unnecessary effects (distracting transitions especially).

Vidding likes: Visuals and movement that express the music well - the pace of the song, the lyrics, and unique moments in the music. I'm also a sucker for insightful clip connections, a clear narrative or story of some kind, or a vid that's innovative or completely different. Surprise me.
Vidding dislikes: Talky face, no connection to the song, uninspired clip choices, lack of movement, stretched clips.
