My school life
begins at small kindergarten at
Ghorashal Fertilizer factory 100 km north of capital
where my father was working as an Engineer. In 1979, we
moved Dhaka and entered in
Mitali School
near Sydabad Bus terminal. I studied there only two years
and then again moved to
Tejgaon Polytechnic School. Before moving to
Government
Laboratory High School at Eight Grade, I spend nearly
eight golden years of my life at Tejgaon Polytechnic School.
Here I started my favorite hobby Coin and Stamp Collection
which open my eyes to rest of the world. Till Secondary
School Certificate (S.S.C.) examination, I studied at Govt.
Lab High School and earn my first degree in 1989.
College
Life
After moving
lots of school in my childhood, I only crossed a small
street to enter Dhaka College to achieved my Higher
Secondary Certificate (H.S.C.) and achieved my second
degree at
Dhaka College in 1991. Probably batch 91 was the most
wired one in Dhaka College history. I went to class for one
week only! In 1990 autocratic military govt. ousted by
mostly student protest and hence there was no First year
exam. We didn't even able to appear for ''test exam'' and
finally seat for HSC exam without having a single test in
college life and just one week class!!
Undergraduate Life in
Entering in BUET
was another miracle. Having super marks in Science, I got
the chance to study Civil Engineering in Bombay IIT (Indian
Institute of Technology) but returned to Dhaka with a heavy
disappointment about Indian quality of life (not Education
quality!). I had only eighteen days in my had for the most
toughest and bitter competition exam in Bangladesh for most
prestigious university -
Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET).
In front of my many astonishing eyes of my friend and even
my mother, I started my undergraduate life after waiting for
one year delay to start the first course!
Here I developed
not only academic record but also leadership and
communication skills. I joined a science club,
Bangladesh Astronomical Association (BAA), organized
first
SpaceFest in Bangladesh, arranged
comet and planet observation camp and started freelance
writing in only one science magazine in Bangladesh,
Mahakash Barta. Most surprisingly I also met with wife
for the first time while working together for the first
Space Fest in 1996!!
I also started
first research work in the last year of my graduation. My
passion was Transportation Engineering as a specialization
in Civil Engineering. My research topic was "An Analysis on
Demand and Supply of Domestic Air Transportation in
Bangladesh". Till now, this research produced four
publications. Detail description of my research is given
on
My Research page.
While last year
in BUET life, I become a campus star having confirmed the
most prestigious Scholarship (Japanese Ministry of Education
Scholarship) from top University in Japan before finishing
my undergraduate degree. After heavy fighting with BUET
administration for last term exam (closed for 3 months!!), I
came to Japan in 1998 just after two days of the last term
exam in BUET. Once again God probably tested my patience and
determination.
