| Dark Goddess There are many goddess of the dark moon. They are the dark goddesses, and often, they are misunderstood and misinterpurated. They are the wisened crones, warrior mothers, enchantresses, and sexually charged vixens of the pagan world. Many NeoPagans fear them, and tend to shy away from these dieties out of fear and misunderstanding. These goddesses are not as nice as the mother archtypes commonly seen in the Neopagan world, however their lessons though hard and harsh, are valuable and just as relevant today as they were in ancient times. Though I encourage everyone to study these goddesses, be aware, and even possibly try to understand these poweful figures, I do not think they are for everyone to work with. Their lessons are hard and their rage terribly harsh. Many people may understand what the dark goddesses are, and perhaps ever some of what they stand for, but don't know who they are. There are many dark goddesses. Probably the most popular dark goddesses are Lilith, The Morrigan, Cerridwen, and Hecate. Kali is another popular dark goddess as is Baba Yaga.
